Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute, Salem Admission Process

Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute for the furtherance of knowledge and teaching of homeopathy as a system of medicine. This institute enjoys recognition from the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) and provides an entirely uncompromised learning atmosphere for students undertaking study in this field of medicine. The Admissions in Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute are aimed at qualifying students for the Bachelor's Degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS).  Such a limited intake of students to ensure a balance in their ratio with the teachers guarantees that each student receives individual attention, which further leads to efficient learning. 

Admission Process

1. Pass appropriate entrance examination (either national or state level homeopathic entrance exam).

2. Check college website for announcement of initiation of admission procedure.

3. Collect and fill the application form (potentially available at either the college website or admissions office).

4. Submit the completed application form along with the supporting documents that may include:

  • 10th & 12th mark sheets

Degree-wise Process of Admission

BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery): The BHMS curriculum of the Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute is of six years full-time and an undergraduate course. This is the only offered course in homeopathy, thus allowing a concentrated and intensive course of study owing to the CCH's approval of no more than 50 students per annum.

Eligibility criteria for BHMS usually will include:

  1. Successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as Main Subject.
  2. Minimum percentage in qualifying examination: 50% in general category (may differ for reserved category).
  3. Qualification in an appropriate entrance test (particular exam details to be confirmed from the institute).
