Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy, Ibrahimpatnam Admission Process

Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy (SIIP) is based in Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, and provides various pharmaceutical courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. SIIP is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). All the programs available at SIIP include the B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Pharm.D, and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate. The admission procedure has been designed to obtain the qualified incoming candidates to the various programs.

The admission cycle of SIIP generally synchronizes with that of the academic year which typically commences in August-September. EAMCET, conducted by the Telangana state government, regulates the admission process for undergraduate programs. With regard to postgraduate courses, the candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores from either the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) or the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).

The eligibility criteria are specific to each program. For B.Pharma, candidates must have qualified 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology. For M.Pharma, the candidate needs to have a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university. Different set requirements exist for regular and Post Baccalaureate Pharm. D.

Application Process

Different programs at Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy shall have varied application processes:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Admission in the 4-year B.Pharma course is based on merit rank obtained in EAMCET. There are 100 seats available in the institute for this particular program. Applications are open to candidates who have finished 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.

M.Pharma: SIIP offers various M.Pharma specializations, with 15 seats each:

  1. Pharmaceutics
  2. Drug Regulatory Affairs
  3. Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance
  4. Pharmaceutical Management and Regulatory Affairs
  5. Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy

Admission to these courses is through either the PGCET conducted by the Government of Telangana or the GPAT examination. The merit list based on pass marks in the entrance examinations will be the basis for the selection.

Pharm.D: The institute offers a program for Pharm.D of 6 years with 30 seats. Specifics are not mentioned with regard to its admission criteria, but most likely follow the same path as admission for the other pharmacy courses, in accordance with entrance examination scores and academic performance.
