Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, adopts a merit-based admission system for all its courses, ensuring a level playing field for all deserving candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

• Undergraduate Courses: Successful completion of 10+2 examinations from any recognized board.

• Postgraduate Courses: A Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.

Admissions are based solely on merit, i.e., the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations. 

Application Process

1. Commencement of Admission:

   • Undergraduate Programs: Admission notifications are issued after the announcement of 12th standard results.

   • Postgraduate Programs: Admission notifications are issued after the announcement of undergraduate results.

2. Application Form:
   Candidates can apply through the official college website by filling out the application form.

3. Submission of Forms:
   Completed application forms, along with the necessary documents, must be submitted to the college admission office before the deadline.

4. Documents Required:

   • Passport-size photographs

   • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th for UG courses; Undergraduate degree for PG courses)

   • Transfer Certificate

   • Community Certificate (if applicable)

   • Any other relevant certificates as specified by the college

5. Payment of Application Fee:
   Applicants must pay the application fee as prescribed by the college.

6. Merit-Based Selection:
   Applications are reviewed based on the merit of the qualifying examination results.

7. Counseling/Direct Admission:
   Shortlisted candidates may either be called for counseling or offered direct admission based on merit.

8. Final Admission:
   Selected candidates must complete the admission process by paying the required fees and submitting original documents for verification.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• B.Com: Admission is based on the merit of 12th standard results.

• B.Sc: Programs offered include Computer Science, Information Technology, Catering Science and Hotel Management, Costume Design and Fashion, and Mathematics with Computer Applications. Admission is purely merit-based, considering 12th standard marks.

• BBA: Admission is based on the merit of 12th standard results.

• BCA: Admission is strictly merit-based, considering 12th standard marks.

• M.Com: Specializations include Computer Applications, International Business, and Corporate Secretaryship with Computer Applications. Admission is based on the merit of the undergraduate degree.

• M.Sc: Offered in Computer Science and Information Technology. Admission is based on the merit of the undergraduate degree.

• M.Phil: Programs available in Commerce and Computer Science (full-time and part-time). Admission is based on postgraduate performance.

• Ph.D: Doctoral programs in Commerce and Computer Science (full-time and part-time). Admission is based on postgraduate performance and research proposal.
