Sri Ramkrishna College of Education at Hooghly West Bengal is a reputed college for teacher education. In the spring of 2012, this co-educational college has been producing future educators for more than ten years. It is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which means that the college follows national standards on teacher training. Located on a 1-acre piece of land, the institute affords smaller class size for its two hundred enrolled student population. The college has a total faculty strength of 5 professional teachers who each bring a minimum of 3 years experience in teaching which ensures that students enjoy and receive adequate attention of teachers.

In order to effectively conduct its educational mission, the college has the fundamental necessities of a college. Currently it performs the function of knowledge base as a detention of educational materials and literature for students. Besides theoretical knowledge, the college has departmental laboratories, where students can take practical exercises, and experiments carry out. Sri Ramkrishna College of Education currently offers one primary course: the Bachelors in Education also known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. According to official documents the intended enrolment capacity of the program is fifty students to ensure that it is highly participative. 

Regarding admissions, Sri Ramkrishna College of Education also follows the merit system, elaborate by the respective state government and the university affiliated to its governing constitution. That means when registering it is expected that one will produced his/her scores in a qualifying examination that may be offered in form of an entrance test or any other assessment mode that is prescribed by the authorities of the offering institution.
