The B.Ed programme of Steel City College of Education allows an approved intake of 100 seats. Steel City College of Education admission to the B.Ed programme is based on merit, calculated using the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process is based on policies determined by the state government and the University of Burdwan. To be qualified for the B.Ed programme, candidates will have to completed a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognised university.
The D.El.Ed programme will have 100 sanctioned seats. Similar to the B.Ed course, the admission procedure for this programme also involves merit-based selection. Steel City College of Education admission is given on the basis of one's performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) and/or entrance examination. The selection process will follow guidelines laid down by the state government and other authorities of the education system concerned.
All candidates interested in pursuing the B.Ed course will have to submit their completed bachelor's degree at the time of application or an equivalent from an accepted university.
