Swami Vivekananda Degree and PG College in Mahabubnagar is an affiliated college with a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The admission process for the college has been made as simple and easy as possible for the benefit of aspiring students.

Application Process
The application process for Swami Vivekananda Degree and PG College varies per program:
Undergraduate Programs (B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BA):

3. Attend the centralised counselling conducted by state authorities.
4. Report to Swami Vivekananda Degree and PG College if seat allotment is done.
5. Complete the admission procedures at the college-giving documents for verification and fee payment.
For Organic Chemistry and Management Quota Admissions:
1. Communicate with the college's admission office concerning the specific application process and requirements.
2. Pay the application fee and submit the application form with relevant documents.
3. Attend other tests or interviews required by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc.: Swami Vivekananda Degrees and PG College has seven specializations in B.Sc. to offer, from Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science. An admission is given based on the student's performing the 10+2 examination with an emphasis on the science subjects. The B.Sc in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry shall be available in both English and Telugu media to meet the need of students accordingly.
B.Com: They run two versions, the regular and the Computer Applications B.Com. Most often admissions are made based on the academic performance of the student in the 10+2 examination; in general, preference is given to commerce or related subjects.
BBA: For Bachelor of Business Administration, this college considers the results of Class 12 of the applicants, further criteria possibly being an aptitude test or an interview depending on the number of applicants.
BA: The college has a BA program for History, Economics, and Political Science. Admissions are based on the performance half of the students in the relevant subjects in 10+2 examination, preferential weightage given to humanities stream.
M.Sc.: Three specializations are available at a postgraduate level: Organic Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Admissions for M.Sc. Botany and M.Sc. Zoology are based on the TS PGECET's merit list. For M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, the college may have a separate admission process, likely on the basis of an assessment of the candidate's performance at undergraduate level and possibly an entrance test or interview.
