Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology is based in the practice-oriented practitioner-scholar model of professional psychology. The clinical training is marked as the pivot of Psy.D. In India, there are very few institutes that offer this course
1. Amity University , Noida: The eligibility is as follows
a) MA / M Sc in Psychology with min 65% should have completed within last 5 years.
b)The candidate should have completed a research dissertation at Master's level
c) 2 recommendation letters from the permanent faculty members (at least 1 member should be with Ph. D) of the university from where master degree has been completed.
The program fee for the first year non-sponsored semester is Rs 1.6 lakh
The selection will be based on subject based test followed by a personal interview
2)Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences, Secunderabad- The eligibility is that the candidate should have passed in post graduation relevant subject for any recognized university. 1)Indiana State University (Terre Haute, IN)- This university is one of the most reputed institutions offering the course revolving around a practitioner-scientist approach. The Cost is $7,616 in-state; $14,762 out-of-state
2) George-Fox University(Newberg,OR) - George Fox University offers a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. Applicants should have an accredited bachelor's degree and at least 18 credits of undergraduate coursework in areas such as abnormal psychology, human development, and personality theory. The Cost is: $14,130
3) Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH)- The eligibility is:
a) Program applicants must have a bachelor's and/or master's degree
b) A minimum of 18 undergraduate credits of psychology coursework.
