Tagore Institute of Art and Education, Birbhum Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

The Tagore Institute of Art and Education at Birbhum and is in affiliation with the colleges of West Bengal, India, for teacher education purposes. The institute has a merit list system for selection of students in all programs as per policies of the state government, UT administration, or affiliated university.  The admission process of Tagore Institute of Art and Education has been developed to select able candidates for various teacher training programs. In the selecting of students to the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses, merit counts the most based on performance in the qualifying examination, but the institute may consider the scores of entrance examinations or any other selection processes mentioned in the state's admission policy. 

It provides two full-time courses in the field of education:

• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) with a capacity of 100 students
• D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) with a capacity of 50 students

Application Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program at Tagore Institute of Art and Education has an approved intake of 100 students. The admission procedure for this course is purely on merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The institute, in this case, adopts the admission policies set by the state government, UT administration, or the affiliated university. The candidates may also be subjected to any other selection process as per the prevailing policy.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): For the D.El.Ed. program, which has an intake capacity of 50 students, the admission process is similar to that of the B.Ed. program. Selection of students is based on merit as determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The institute may also consider entrance examination scores or follow any other selection process as per the state's admission policy.

Both programs charge a total fee of Rs. 200,000 for the complete duration of the course.
