Taranath Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bellary Admission Process

Taranath Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Bellary, is one of the reputed institutions of Ayurvedic education in Karnataka, India. The admission operations are carried out in a very official manner based on national-level entrance examinations.

For admission to undergraduate courses, the college considers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test results. NEET is a standard syllabus-wide test conducted every year for admission to medical courses in India. An applicant for admission into the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program at Taranath Government Ayurvedic Medical College must appear for NEET and qualify with the required cutoff score.

Scores from the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) are taken into consideration for admission to postgraduate courses. This examination is to vet candidates desiring to gain admission into postgraduate programs in Ayurveda. Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: The BAMS is the flagship undergraduate Ayurvedic program offered by Taranath Government Ayurvedic Medical College. The college has an intake of 40 seats for the BAMS program.

Admissions to the BAMS course depend on NEET examination performance. Eligible candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.

MDs: The college offers various Ayurvedic specializations in Doctor of Medicine (MD). The following ayurvedic specializations are:

1. MD Rasa Shastra: 7 seats
2. MD Kayachikitsa: 7 seats
3. MD Panchakarma: 7 seats
4. MD Shalya Tantra: 4 seats
5. MD Dravyaguna: 4 seats

Admissions to all MD programs depend on the performance of the candidate in the AIAPGET examination. Eligible candidates must have completed their BAMS or equivalent degree from any recognized institution.

General 50th percentile 720-138
SC/ST/OBC 40th percentile 137-108

The minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in BAMS course in Taranath government Ayurvedic medical College is that the candidate must have passed their 10+2 with physics, chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with atleast 50% marks for unreserved category, and 40% Marks for SC/ST category.
The admission to the course in the college is based on NEET exam score, there a total of 40 seats for the same in the college,  the duration of the course is of five years, and the course is offered by Gulbarga University, Gulbarga and approved by Central council of Indian medicine.
