Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Technical Education (NCTE) and offered by Assam University, Silchar.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in sciences/social sciences/humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program.

Admission Details

The admission will be based on the merit list. The test will be conducted in an offline mode in various centers as listed in the admission portal. The test will be in the Multiple-choice Question (MCQ) format and OMR sheets will be provided for answering the questions. After qualifying for the examination, a merit list will be prepared.

College Infrastructure

The teachers training college is located in silchar and the college provides basic facilities required for B.Ed degree and there water filter, library which has teaching related books, and there is no smart boards or wifi. The living spaces are clean and maintained well.

College Infrastructure

The college has a decent campus with the essential facilities required for the BeD students. The library has books on education, pedagogy, and psychology. Seminar halls and common rooms are there. there is no hostel facility.
