TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospet Admission Process

TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College of Hospet established its education profile for education under Indian ayurvedic medicine. The college is affiliated with the university and possesses approval from the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) under its rigorous admission procedure by which its programs accept only the highest qualified candidates.

The admission process into the college is NEET, which refers to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This examination is held once every year on a national level, usually around the month of May, and through which the aspiring students get themselves entered into the Ayurvedic medicine stream. The rank and score fetched through the NEET become critical components in securing admission to the BAMS course provided by the institute.

The college would follow the admission schedule as advertised by the authorities. After the NEET results are declared, typically in June, the counseling process kicks in, a time-consuming process in which candidates may fill their seats over the next few months on the basis of their ranks and chosen preferences in the NEET.

Application Process

The application process for TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College and for BAMS courses is more or less on the parallel track with NEET and counseling thereafter; here is a stepwise elucidation of the application process:

1. NEET Registration: Candidates must register through the official NEET site for the NEET test. Usually, this involves filling out an online application form and paying a fee.

2. NEET Examination: The candidates should appear in the NEET exam on the date mentioned in their admission card. NEET exam is generally conducted in the month of May every year.

3. NEET Result: The candidates have to wait for the declaration of NEET results. Generally, results are declared by the official NEET website in June.

4. Registration for Counseling: The candidates who qualified should be registering for centralized counseling after the declaration of results from the respective authority-state or central.

5. Document Verification: Candidates will have to verify their documents through the counseling process. An incomplete list of essential documents includes but is not confined to:

  • NEET score card
  • Mark sheets from 10th and 12th
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if needed)

6. Seat Allocation: Allotment of seats would be depending on the NEET scores coupled with the preferences of the candidate at the time of counseling.

7. Fee Payment: The candidate should pay the fee for confirmation of admission for the seat allotted to them at TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College.

8. Reporting to College: On the successful allotment of seats and payment of fees, a candidate is expected to report on the date specified at TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College, carrying all original documents for final verification and admission formalities.

Degree Wise Admission Process

For instance, BAMS: The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College's flagship undergraduate program. Admission to the BAMS program is entirely based on the NEET (UG) marks secured by candidates. According to the program, the college is eligible to accept 60 admissions in the BAMS course. Eligibility criteria are 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and qualified in NEET (UG).

MD Shalya: TMAES Ayurvedic Medical College runs postgraduate training programs for MD Shalya and has allowed an intake of three horizontal seats. No other relevant information to further admission details for the MD program has been shared; under general understanding, admissions into any other postgraduate Ayurvedic program would require that a student possesses a BAMS degree and qualifies in a relevant postgraduate entrance examination.
