B.Sc Nursing : B.Sc Nursing is an undergraduate course at Uma Institute of Nursing Sciences that runs for four years. The number of intake positions for this program is 40. The candidates will be considered for admission in the B.Sc Nursing course as per their performances in entrance examinations related to that course and 10+2 exams with an emphasis on science subjects.
GNM-General Nursing and Midwifery: The GNM course is a three-year diploma course, and there are 20 seats. Admission in GNM is usually done on the basis of scores obtained by the candidate in his/her 10+2 exams and marks in any entrance exams applicable for nursing. This course is meant for those who want to become registered nurses.
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): The ANM course is a two-year certificate course with 20 seats. Admission to this course would be based on the candidate's 10+2 scores, and perhaps a science background would be given more preference. This course prepares students for auxiliary nurse and midwife positions.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Uma Institute conducts Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. This is a course for registered nurses who want to progress in their qualifications. It is said that for most, one's GNM course and the experience beforehand have to be completed.
