Universal College of Education, Mohali, is an affiliated College, recognized by NCTE. This institute offers professional education in the areas of teacher training and education. The admission process that is being followed at the Universal College of Education aims at picking deserving candidates for its various educational programs. The merit-based admission policy is followed in the College for the admission into its programs. Most of the admission decisions are taken on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations in accordance with the policies framed by the state government, U.T. Administration, and affiliated university.

Application Process

The Universal College of Education, Mohali application procedure is mostly uniform for all the programs save for a few details regarding the application mechanism:

1. Candidates can check their eligibility for the relevant program on either the college website or by contacting the admissions office.

2. For eligible candidates, the application form shall be collected from the college itself or downloaded from the official website.

3. Using the application form, fill it in a correct manner with all the relevant information as required and enter all the required fields.

4. All necessary documents, according to the guidelines of application, must be attached. These documents would mostly include mark sheets of the qualifying examination, birth certificate, and any other relevant certificates.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program at the University College of Education, Mohali, allows intake of up to 100 students. This program is open for admission on merit; that is to say, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination are considered, according to the selection policy revised by the state government, U.T. administration, and the university.

D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) has an intake capacity of 50 students. The program selects candidates on merit without granting extra points for any higher studies. The merit is decided purely on the basis of a percentage scored in the qualifying exam (10+2).

BA B.Ed: This is a newly started integrated program in the college with an intake capacity of 50 students. It is presumed that it too abides by the same merit admission mode as followed by the other programs, although no particular details regarding the admission have been provided.
