Besides the work and stock areas of the Library, there are multiple reading rooms open to students and scholars alike with comfortable seating to encourage reading and discussions. One of these reading rooms, located on the ground floor, is open 24/7 for access to in-campus hostellers. Dr. BR Ambedkar Central Library comprises sections based on domain, with major sections being Engineering, Science, Arts & Humanities, and Social and Management Sciences. The Library has an impressive number of subscriptions to all the major and popular journals in these domains. As of 2021, the Library subscribes to 1200+ journals.
