The infrastructure of the college is good. For undergraduate courses, NIT- C has slight edge over CET as there are numerous companies coming in search of bright students as a part of campus placement.
College of Engineering Trivandrum compared to NIT-C. 
Campus politics play spoilsport in CET among the students while in NIT-C it is  not to that extent. But the common factor is the politics among the faculty, which is prevalent among the faculty of both colleges. 
After all, a bright and studious student will do good in his academics and develop good problem solving skills based on holistic approach to any subject. The subject of college is irrelevant for them.
