Hello aspirant,

Both the colleges you have mentioned are well off.

But you have mentioned different branches in both your choices

So it actually depends in which branch you are really interested in and wish to pursue further. If you think you have good programming skills then you should opt for  Ramdeobaba College, and if you are looking for civil engineering then you should look accordingly.

So you have to mention which branch you are keen in sl that I can help you.

Hey Ruturaj! You performed extremely well in MHTCET 2019. According to your rank in MHTCET 2019 you can try for IT in Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Bibwewadi, Pune and VIIT Pune.

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private institute of engineering located in Bibwewadi, Pune, Maharashtra and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology is an autonomous institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute is situated in Pune city of Maharashtra.

CET cutoff depends upon student category and the branch in which the student want to study

If we think about general category ,in VIIT if one wants CS then CET score should be above 135 , for IT it should be above 120 . Since VIIT is autonoums from last year the cutoff may differ by 5/10 marks. Since your scores are good so may have the fine chance to get admission in viit, with CSE .

Hello Aspirant
The elligiblity criteria of VIT is you should have scored 60% and above in Maths/ Biology, Chemistry and Physics in their 10+2 respective exams.
In pcm there is required of 60% . So you are not elligible for vit .
Thanks

Hello candidate, for 54 percentile your marks would be around 63 and rank would vary from 600- 22000. So there are chances that you can get viit pune or singhad. But check this link for best college prediction by careers360-

Hope this helps you.

Hello Ramsankar,

Yes, you can definitely get a seat at Vellore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology.
But not for the branches that are highly in demand like Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication engineering.
So here are a few branches that are within your cutoff range:-
  • 1) civil engineering
  • 2) production and industrial engineering
  • You can definitely get many more options at other VIT Campuses like Chennai, Amaravati or Bhopal.
  • Chennai campus is very old and reputed too.
Here are cutoff details for both campuses :-
Hope this helps!!
    • Best of luck :)

Hello Student,

Vellore Institute of Technology has four campuses across India.
VIT VELLORE and VIT CHENNAI campuses are very old and much reputed therefore have pretty high cutoffs.
As your rank is not up to the mark for these colleges to get a seat in a good branch,
You must try for VIT BHOPAL and VIT AMARAVATI campuses.
They are expected to have low cutoffs.
Following are the courses offered for BTech at VIT Bhopal and Amaravati campus:-
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication engineering
  • Aerospace engineering
  • Bioengineering
  • Electrical and Electronics engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Artificial intelligence and Machine learning

Hope this helps :)
Best of luck!!

Hello anita,

VIT(Vishwakarma Institute of Technology) pune.

First of all let me tell you that in VIT there are 2 separate departments. One is ENTC(Electronics and Telecommunications) and the other is Elex (Electronics).

Let's consider point wise

  1. Teaching - The teachers like all other branches are really good and help you for projects, paper writing and also non-academic stuff. You just have to be a sincere student.
  2. Examinations - The exam system of VIT is very easy to score. There are mid sems and end sems which lowers the burden and gives you more time to learn in depth about the topics.
  3. Labs - Labs have all the facilities which you will require.
  4. Internships - Internships in core electronics companies are very rare and you need to search for an internship on your own. If you are from CS or IT department then getting internships is comparatively very easy as there are a lot of options.
  5. Placements - There are a few core electronics companies which offer placements at VIT. If you have a great record you may get placements as high as 23 lakhs per annum. But as compared to CS and IT, the packages are not very high and this is the case everywhere.
  6. Syllabus - Since VIT is an autonomous college, the syllabus is updated regularly as per industry norms. Courses from CS department enrich your resume and you can also work in IT sector or later shift to CS for your masters.
  7. Exchange Programs - If you are interested you can opt for the exchange programs in renowned universities in singapore, germany, canada, USA. But you will have to pay from your own pocket :p
  8. Overall VIT is a very good college and electronics branch has a fairly high cutoff so you will be studying with talented students.
  9. NOTE : THERE IS NO BRANCH CHANGE OPTION IN VIT AFTER THE 1ST YEAR. So if you later want to shift to any other branch, it is not possible.
  10. Thank you and all the best.

College Infrastructure

The library is well-stocked, though it could use more seating during peak hours. Labs are equipped with updated tech, perfect for hands-on learning, but some equipment needs faster maintenance. Wi-Fi is reliable across most areas, a big plus for research and assignments.
