    College Infrastructure

The college has good infrastructure, well equipped labs, big seating library with many books, hostel for outstation students, canteen with variety of food choices, WiFi, indoor auditorium, a amphitheatre, sports room for indoor games and common rooms for students. But, the problem which college faces is lack of classrooms because of addition of new sections in each department and increase in student count college faces classroom shortage. So, the college has to conduct lectures of each year batch of students in an alternate manner.

    Academics

I was studying Electronics Engineering as majors and Data Science as minors. The quality of education is good, but the academic curriculum needs to be upgraded based on the current trends which are required in present market. The quality of teaching provided by few teachers were excellent as they were well equipped with the today's knowledge and technology, but some teachers are required to brush up their skills and upgrade themselves with the current scenario for which they are trying their best

    Placements

The placement opportunity provided by the college is average. The college had provided us with sessions of how to get placed by conducting mock aptitude and interviews. Due to recession very few companies approached and only a handful of students were placed. The college needs to improve their way of approach towards the placement process. For final year who are striving hard for getting placed, the college shouldn't burden them with tons of assignments and submissions. Instead, college should allow students to brush up their soft skills, coding skills which will be beneficial for them.

    Value for Money

The value for money is average. The engineering course shouldn't be charged so much. Even, the college is charging extra for joining any technical society or sport competition.

    Campus Life

The college campus life was good. The college surroundings are cleaned and hygienic. The college had provided the students with many opportunities like technical societies- ISA, IEEE, CSI, ISTE; cultural and sports events, social responsibility teams, literature society, dance crew, etc. So, it helped for the student's overall development. The teachers were friendly, helpful and co-operative. Commuting for college was little bit tiring especially for those who travel by train, then they have take bus or rickshaw to reach college. The college is surrounded by industries like RCF, BPCL, BARC, etc, so many times we had face pollutants chemical smell problem, But, the college has planted many trees in its premises to reduce this issue.

    Others

My overall experience with VESIT was Bitter-Sweet. I had lots fun, trouble and many experiences which will definitely help in career life. The college always supported students to engage themselves in various activities, events and competition. The college ranks in Top 10 engineering of Mumbai under Mumbai University. You can definitely enjoy your college life.

    College Infrastructure

The college is well equipped with labs and has a very good library. The campus is also decent but sporting centres could be improved. The classrooms need to be upgraded and made more modern. Canteen is very nice.

    Academics

The college has now become autonomous hence the curriculum is updated. The faculty is a mixed bag, some are very good and some are average. Students are given good opportunities to undertake their own projects.

    Placements

Placements are decent, being in Mumbai helps. Considering the ROI, basically what you pay over the 4 years to other engineering colleges, you will be satisfied. However it is important to keep your expectations realistic.

    Satisfactory

    College Infrastructure

The college has an impressive and unique infrastructure, particularly noted for its curved architecture. The computer labs are decent; several labs have a low student capacity, but the computers available are of good quality.

    Academics

I am doing my BE in Computer Engineering, and the quality of teaching is decent; however, the support from teachers is phenomenal. The curriculum is well-designed, focusing on skill development rather than overburdening students with academics.

    Placements

I've heard that the placement opportunities aren't very strong, and students aren't receiving high packages. However, the average salary for freshers is quite stable and good. I don't know the exact numbers, but reputable companies like JP Morgan are visiting for recruitment.

    Value for Money

This degree costs me approximately 1.3 lakhs per year, which is reasonable for someone from the general category. Compared to other colleges, I can confidently say that this is a worthwhile investment, as I am receiving the quality education that I paid for.

    Campus Life

Campus life here is very active. Some many communities and councils might interest anyone, whether they are into tech or non-tech activities. Every field of interest is represented, providing opportunities to get involved.

    Very good. Would recomend

    College Infrastructure

Has AC rooms, Really huge amphitheatre and regular theatre... Also a really big ground for all sports! Canteen food is good as well and hygienic... We have an indoor court for chess and caroom etc... Labs are spacious and Wifi signal is great.. Also they maintain washrooms every day so they are always clean

    Academics

Teachers are good and put a lot of effort in teaching and they also teacher where and when we apply what we are learning, and also help out if students need more study material and labs are really good as well

    Placements

Its good, average students can expect around or more than 8.1 lpa Although the recent lpa are comparatively lower than last year... or so ive heard. Im not completely sure about the packages rn other than the fact they are lower than last year

    Value for Money

It costs around 1.3 lakhs and I feel like the money is well worth it for the facilities they make available

    Campus Life

Its really fun, a few complains is that *sometimes* a few lifts dont work even tho its fine... its still a bit annoying but fine overall There are also a lot of sports since we have 2 sports courts and the sports are always amazing to watch, even if i dont play.. just being there and cheering for ur team or class is always fun

Mid experience since this college was very reputed before

    College Infrastructure

Poor infrastructure everything including furniture equipment and teaching methods are old very insufficient facilities for students and classrooms are not air conditioned neither the lifts are in proper condition.

    Academics

Average academics because the faculty itself isnt used to the automated college after switching from mumbai university, faculty isnt upto the mark when it comes to being confident about them being able to be a good teacher

    Placements

from what ive heard placements arent great here at vesit its not likely that a person with impressive cgpa will even get a package of 7-8L per annum which is considerably poor compared to other autonomous colleges or let alone mumbai university colleges

    Value for Money

my course was about 1.3L per year which isnt as bad as compared to the colleges in mumbai but still i feel it shouldve been a bit cheaper considering they low maintained campus they are running right now

    Campus Life

campus life is pretty good lots of communities lots of stuff to do other than academics a social person will easily get along and the people are quite nice sometimes especially the seniors are real nice

Overall its is an average experience in this college

    College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is good it has all the facilities and equipment for our lab It has a great liberary, campus and good wifi College canteen is good The food is hygienic and of good quality Overall a good infrastructure

    Academics

I am studying engineering from vivekanad college , mainly computer engineering The quality of teaching is average i wont say it is bad cause some teachers are genuinely very good and help us a lot

    Placements

Placement of our college has been average since last 2-3 years due to major layoff of companies Thus getting on campus placement is tough Hardly 50 percent students are placed this year with an average package of 5 lakhs per annum

    Value for Money

College fees cost us around 1.25 lakhs for general category For EBC it is around 76 thousand And for girls is around 20 thousand due to government schemes I feel the money is not that worth it.

    Campus Life

Campus of our college is great as it has a nice and spacious campus. Its best space is our amphi theatre which is on 2nd floor which is used for all the cultural activities And also for our events

Best college I would say for btech or any course

    College Infrastructure

Class rooms ,libraries , sports equipments and hostels are well maintained and all are in use.Facilities and equipments are also fabulous no doubt at all .College space is clean and food aat canteen is also very healthy

    Placements

Placements are also satisfying but the condition is cgpa should be maintain . And after 4 years of college you are ready for the showcasing the skills you learn in college.Average placements salary is 5 to 6 lakh per annum.Placement process was very supportive by the college

    Value for Money

As i am 2nd year college student the fee structure is 1 lakh 30 and it is worth for money as that much valuable education they are providing. As the college is very good i feel that it is worth it for all the things

    Campus Life

Campus life is the best. The staff is also very kind and helpful . And the teacher also helps to solve the doubt to each and every student. As the location is at the chembur it is very near by the mono rail station and we can also travel by train through kurla and chembur.Students can engage with many councils which increase their connects and make them feel more confident to be in the future

    VESIT Mumbai

    College Infrastructure

VESIT is known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes well-equipped labs, libraries, and classrooms. The college also has a large sports complex, with facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and other sports.

    Academics

I am studying computer engineering in VESIT. The quality of teaching is good. The syllabus is also good. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments. Studying the subjects we have definitely makes us job-ready.

    Placements

The placement is great recently. The college has a strong industry-academia interface, with tie-ups with leading companies such as Infosys, TATA Consultancy Services, and Wipro. This helps students to gain practical exposure and prepares them for the industry.

    Value for Money

My course cost 125006 per year but the students admitted through cet and having annual income less than 8 lakh can take advantage of ebc. The college is worth for the money because it provides all the facilities required and have the best infrastructure.

    Campus Life

The staffs are friendly and helpful. The crowd is also very good. There are various cultural, sports and technical activities held in the college. Location is average. According to me the college has good features.

    Others

Overall, VESIT is a great option for students looking for a quality education in engineering, with a focus on holistic development.

Have a question related to VESIT Mumbai ?

    Hi

    hope you doing well

Getting admission to the B.Tech CSE program at Swami Vivekanand College with 70% in your 12th boards and 70 percentile in JEE Mains  might be challenging if it's a highly competitive institution. Admission to private colleges like Swami Vivekanand College typically depends on their specific cutoffs, which vary based on the number of applicants and seat availability.

However, many private engineering colleges also consider management quota or offer seats through counseling processes that may be flexible regarding entrance exam scores. You can check the specific cutoff of the college for CSE and inquire about alternative admission pathways.

    Best wishes.
