Hello Rohit,

From WALCHAND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING and GL BAJAJ NOIDA, the best one is WALCHAND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. Both of these colleges offer similar things in academic and co curriculum activities but the thing in which WALCHAND is ahead is PLACEMENTS of CSE. More than 60+ companies comes for placement in campus.

I hope you will find my answer helpful.

All the best.

Hello Jyoti,

You can compare the two colleges on basis of their facilities -

A)  Walchand College of Engineering - [WCE], Sangli :

The college is good but the infrastructure is not as good as it should be. Students might miss the opportunity of living in a good city as the college is situated away from modern cities. Placement is the biggest advantage at this college since the college provides a wide placement opportunity scale. The salary ranges from 5 Lakh to 36 Lakh. The faculty is quite good and most of these teachers hold masters or doctorates in their respective subjects. They are helpful towards students in case of any issues arising. The curriculum is set by experts. Moreover in this college, there is greater focus on practical curriculum than it is in the  theory curriculum. Their are many opportunities for internships for the students in fourth year in the eight semester. Moreover the college also provides for scholarships on certain basis.

B) Babu Banarasi Das University - [BBDU], Lucknow :

This college is good along with great infrastructure. The college is alive throughout the times and provides quality education to the students. The computer science and IT department get the maximum placements throughout the years. The other core branches like mechanical and electrical sectors do not get as good placements as the above stated two branches do. This college has new and young teachers who are indulged in the process of research. They also provide assistance to the students in their queries. Internships are provided to the students through a selection criteria of the companies that recruit students.

You can compare the two and choose the one that has better suitability to you.

I hope this helped.

All he best!!

hey there,

In order to get admission in Walchand college of Engineering, you need to give MHTCET or MHCET exam.

You need to clear the cutoff and score a good rank in MHTCET to get there.

Since you scored 50% of the total, you may not get admission there, you need to score more than 100 or 120.

you can always apply for other colleges and wait for the counselling result.

All the best!

Hello,
According to general category cutoffs of MHTCET in year 2018, the closing rank for Mechanical engineering at COEP was 628 and the cutoff marks was 166. Please note that cutoffs can vary from uear to year depending upon factors like number of students appearing for the examination, number of seats available, difficulty level of paper etc.
I hope it helps. For any further queries regarding this, ask me in the comments.

the placement in both these colleges is pretty average. But if you are comparing these colleges, then VIT Pune has an edge over Walchand College of Engineering. VIT Pune's CS branch is pretty diverse and qualified. Students have received higher packages in comparison to Walchand College. So, if you have a choice, go for VIT Pune.

Hello Utpal ,Walchand College of Engineering is a private college and not the government one.
