Zakir Hussain College is having an average infrastructure. The building now looks out fashioned and there is an urgent need of renovation. The classrooms are not air conditioned and there are also no proper sports facilities available
Zakir Hussain College is well known for its academic structure with most of the teachers regularly taking classes.Curriculum prescribed by Delhi University is followed if Aurbindo College is not having good placement record as most of the students after 3 years of their graduation fail to secure a job. Those who manage to secure a job get an annual package of 3-4 lakhs mostly in field of commercethe class gets cancelled students are informed on prior basis.
Zakir Hussain College is having average placement record as most of the students after 3 years of their graduation fail to secure a job.The average package of college ranges around 3-4 lakhs per annum.
Zakir Hussain College is having a low fees structure with most of the courses having fees less than 20000 per year.Considering such low fees and tag of Delhi University it makes this college a value for money
Zakir Hussain College is an off campus college so students find difficulty in finding flats and pgs in nearby areas.Being far away from south and north campus students are unable to enjoy campus life.Societies are also not active
For me it was an average experience in this college
Zakir Hussain College of Delhi University is having an average infrastructure. The Area of College is not so big and it is in a need of urgent renovation. The condition of classrooms is miserable. But the Library of college is good
Zakir Hussain College follows the curriculum prescribed by University of Delhi which is updated according to latest industry trends. The classes in the college are taken on regular basis.College has done well on academic basis
Zakir Hussain College is not having a proper placement structure with most of students failing to secure a job at the end of their graduation. The placement cell is not active as a result most students opt for higher studies
The fees of Zakir Hussain College is quite low like many other colleges of Delhi University since it is funded by government. You can complete most of the courses under 25 thousand per year which is quite low
Zakir Hussain is an off campus college so you don't get to experience the north and south campus Life. Some of the students actively take part in inter college competitions but others don't even attend classes which makes a mixed croud
Go for North and south campus colleges
As one of the oldest college in India the infrastructure when I studied there was old and the new buildings were still under construction. Non the less it had all necessary infrastructure from Libra to laboratories etc.
The college has a great teaching staff who are passionate and is willing to clear your doubts in and out of the class. The curriculum we had was the university of Delhi curriculum which was heavy but applicable.
I do not much knowledge on the placement as I always had the aim of doing my masters but I would say the placements there could be better. And more students need to be informed about the opportunities it provides.
The course cost about 24k to 25k a year which is a great deal for the quality of education that you recieve and the exposure that you get. But I would say there are better options as Zakir Husain doesn't have hostel facility and rents are hard to find near the college.
The college is situated in the heart of Delhi and you have to take an auto from the metro to reach the college. Campus Life is hard to get there. If you want a campus Life I suggest you go for other colleges.
The college infrastructure is average and not very high in standard. It has the average facilities in terms of classes and libraries. Mostly the spaces are clean except the washroom. It has a canteen too .
I was studying bachelorof arts in psychology and human resource management. The quality of teaching is average with skilled teachers appointed alwayss. The curriculam is not always updated but it makes us skilled enough to get a normla joh
The quality of placement is poor as there are not many opportunities for many students. 10 percent of the students opt for placement ..The highest salary would be around 4-7 lakhs. Average salary would be around 3-3.5 lakhs
Average college
The college has a very average infrastructure. It has three buildings currently but the best thing is we have new building coming soon. The college has facilities but as it is really old..it is not air conditioned .the college has a wifi in library and some classes has smart boards
I studied bachelors in psychology and human resources management. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is not really updated in some subjects but is upto the mark in many. It makes you job ready
The quality of placements are not very good. Students don't even know that there is a placement cell in the college. No official information is out for highest package but I guess it is somewhere around 6-7 lakhs per annum. The placement team was supportive throughout.
It is value for money..as it took just 8 thousand per year .so a total of 25 thousands..thus it is worth it
The campus life is not really attractive as the college campus is not very big and doesn't have many required facilities. The teachers are supportive. It is safe and can handle emergencies
Zakir husain review
amazing collage, the ground, and building of the collage is much bigger than other collage and also the library was the best place for studying and the auditorium of the collage is very big and worth it for every one
academics of the college is also good and the teachers are more educated and the skills of teaching was more appropriate and everyone should learn and also the teaching staff was very help full in nature
this was the collage of undergrad. so, there was very less chances for having a placement and the expectation of every student was not a placement everyone want to make more skillfull and more knoledgable
sports facilities
most of the classrooms are not properly ventilated and are not air conditioned too. in terms of infrastructure , our college have a library and auditorium with many different academics block. It has furnished labs which are open to limited students .there is Wifi in library and no sports center in the college. all of the things are well maintained. the living spaces are mostly clean and the food is hygienic as it is from canteen. we also have a garden cum waiting area too.
I was studying psychology with human resource management as i have a interest in clinical psychology. the quality of teaching was very good in the college. all the teachers are very qualified and experienced. The curriculum is changing but there are many things which are of no value for the students. What i studied did not make me job ready for high paying jobs.
The quality of placements are just average or below average , there is a placement cell which is mostly inactive throughout the year and brings in average jobs for the students. also many students do not opt for placements too. I am not sure about the highest salary but it was given to a student from economics honors with some where between 8 LPA. the average salary is very low that is between 2.5-4 LPA. there was no placement process, just apply and give interview. college of support
my course cost me 8000nper year and it was value for money for me. Since my aim was very aim i invested just 30k in my graduation and thus I am getting worth of whatever I invested
it is a small campus with normal facilities and open area. The best thing about the college is the canteen and garden area and the worst are the small congested classrooms. The students engage in NCC and many singing, dancing activity. the students , teacher and staff is supportive and the location of the college is very good. it i near to railway and metro stations and have a market for books nearby. It is very safe. The biggest hospital of Delhi is nearby and thus can handle emergency
the college is not worth if you really have really high hopes
campus is small. a little greenery is there. dust and spiders. washrooms not clean very unhygeinic. Library has AC. lots of books are there. classroom size is small. no furniture and fixtures. no digital boards. typical DU college :))
Poor faculty. teachers and professors are not student oriented. they just read book and leave and sometimes not even that. they are primitive. not open minded. stereo typical thinking is there in the staff. college socieities are okayish
no placements are there. hardly any companies come and hire with 1-2 LPA package only. mostly banks and financial institutions. hardly anyone gets placed and noone even wants to get placed from the college
My college have a better infrastructure, new building is best among all the Delhi University colleges and we have all basic facilities. We don't have any sport campus or playground which is the major drawback of my college. We have best library and auditorium. Along with this our college provide healthy and hygienic environment.
Honestly as much I have learnt and seen through out my 1st year academic was good, professors were quite good and as we all know college academic depends on us only professor can guide us or can provide notes only.
As I have heard from my seniors placements are average in zhdc. For my course there's no placement options and throughout the years you get chances to indulge yourself to many other activities which help to increase your placement chances to good company and once or twice in placement fair.
I'm pursing BA psychology honors and my per year fees is 12000 only which is worth it as we know psychology is one of the most expensive subject to study.
Zakir hussain college has good infrastructure but most of it is somewhat broken because of lots of fight and politics in du the fights, otherwise classes are good and clean canteen food is also good .
The studies are average there is less of teaching more of politics as a major ratio is of boys so teaching environment is affected somewhat but teachers are well qualified and helps students in every way
The placements are average not that good but major portion of students go for higher studies or are interested in politics , the average salary is usually around 5lpa the placement process is definitely not a smooth one but everyone has to do it
Hi,
Don’t Judge college by NIRF ranking. all the colleges of Delhi university are equally good. the only things matters is the Crowd and Location. As per my knowledge Location is very good situated in the Heart of New Delhi near Civic Centre near New Delhi Railway station.
Hey Sneha,
According to the rules of Delhi University, if you are eligible for any College according to a particular cutoff and you have not applied for it you will not be given admission to it in that cutoff. But you can apply for college in next cutoff but as you missed your seat in previous cutoff you will be considered as a 'defaulter' and will be called for admission on the third day of next cutoff.
Good Luck!
Hi Sutirtha,
You cannot expect to be admitted in Zakir Hussain College on the basis of merit only. If you have An ECA or sports quota then there is some hope for you. If your question remains unanswered or you have any more queries then feel free to ask.
