As both the universities are great in terms of their education, faculty and placements, both are similar but i think ANNA university is better than SASTRA in terms of core companies that come for recruitment at Sastra university.

The Lowest cutoff for the university goes to 72%. If your aggregate marks is above 72% then you may expect to get admission, but you may not be able to choose your branch your preferred Branch.

I hope you fine.first of all congratulations dear. you got seat in anna university.but it little bit difficult.and you didn't get core branches like CSE,ECE etc.defintly you got other branches like chemical engineering,bio- medical engineering, Marianne engineering etc.once you have to check C utoff.all the best for your councellings.try your level best.i hope you got free seat in anna university.

Students should know about calculating cut - off marks . The total marks for every subject is 200. First, take your mathematics mark , divide it by 2, then you will get the marks for 100. Marks of physics and chemistry should be divided by 4, then you would get marks for 50 for each subject.

Once you made saved the registration details in https://www.tneaonline.org/user/register login page you cannot change any details in that page. And incorrect details of a candidate might lead to cancellation of candidature. You may have to register once again with new email ID and phone number.

In anna university counselling application, in place of HSC Equivalent registration number, you are supposed to fill your HSC/12th Board roll number/ registration number. If you check your marksheet or just the result page on the website, you will see your registration number there. You are supposed to fill that number only.

Right now the cutoff marks will be published on the official website.From the previous year cutoff of 175.5 you have chance to get Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in Anna university.

But this year there is an possibility for different cut off so, apply for counselling too
