I am from Assam. I scored 395 (UR) in neet ug 2020. Can I get any medical college for bds/bams ?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 18th Oct, 2020

Hello

As per your score I guess your rank must be around 160000.

With your score even if you are from UR category , I can say that the chances of getting BAMS is good enough. As for BDS, you may not get any colleges this year since most of the colleges for BDS in assam have a cutoff rank of about 60,000.For more details you may use https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=neet_clgpd&ici=exit-intent

Hello bro

Ya I have understood your problem .and the solution is that you must go for utarakhand domicile for having better colleges in uttarakhand ir if you want to be addmitted in colleges of Assam then you are having best option of getting state quota as some states refer student that quota when they have studied till class 12  since their childhood .so according to your wish of choosing in future you can use these domicile and state certificates according to different rules of colleges

i am from assam and i scored 503 in neet (gen).... can i get a seat in this college?

Anurag Khanna 20th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As you have not mentioned the name of college so it's quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information.

On such marks and category you have good chances of getting some medical colleges in Assam under state quota according to previous year's cut-off (2018). As we go through previous year's cut-off(2018) then it shows that you can get following colleges :-

  • Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati
  • Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh
  • Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Silchar

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-assam

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

my pcb % in 12 is 48% and i am from obc category.Am i eligible for assam mbbs counselling

rachanapbennur 30th Oct, 2020

hello Suparna!

The eligibility for MBBS counselling is as follows:

  1. The candidate must have secured an aggregate of 50% (For SC/ST/OBC)i n Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th Boards from a recognized institution.
  2. The candidate must have scored atleast the cutoff marks in NEET UG. The cutoff for OBC category is 146-113 marks.

You have not mentioned your NEET score. However, since your 12th aggregate does not meet the required percentage, you are not eligible to attend NEET counselling.

You can refer to the article below for detailed information:

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/assam-mbbs-admission

Don't lose hope. You can give your boards and NEET another time another time with full preparation. Or you can also opt for other courses like B.A, B.Sc as well.

All the best!

ETCE vs EE in Assam engineering college (placement)

AKSHAYA.V.A. 26th Nov, 2020

Hello!

They have decent overall ratings. Placement records are highly inconsistent for the domains.

For EEE the highest package offered is 12Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 3Lakhs per annum and average package offered is 3.5Lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies are BHEL, TCS, Dalmia cements, Ashok Leyland, etc.

ETCE (for telecommunication) Highest package offered is 10Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 2.7Lakhs per annum and average package offered is 5Lakhs per annum. Top recruiting company is BEL, Bosch, etc.

EEE is better than ETCE.

Choose wisely, ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.

Thank You

CSE vs ETCE vs EE in Assam Engineering College ( placement)

Abir Gayen 26th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

CSE:It is one of the best streams in the college and the college provides a good placements at the end of four years. Most of the IT sectors come in the  college  recently so it is better to opt for CSE in this college .Moreover you can work in the field of your interest if you opt for CSE.Faculties in ECE are good but placements are all in software companies. So it is better to opt for CSE in Assam Engineering College.

Hope for the best!!

l got 145 marks in neet 2020,can able to get the admission in MBBS in Assam govt college under OBC(NCL)cota

Heena GJ 17th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant

With this score, getting seat for MBBS is really very difficult. As cut off is very high this year

To get seat in government medical college you must score 600+ for MBBS and for BDS 550+

With this score, you haven't qualified NEET

So you can either go for BSc, Pharmacy courses or take a drop and appear for NEET next year.
