Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 4th Apr, 2019
hi,

ecet is the common entrance test for diploma holders for the admission in btech(lateral entry).according to your previous qualification and your expectation to join mechatronics enginnering you need to apply in MEC(meCHANICAL engineering). EEE and Ece are far away different from automobile engineering which you have studied in your diploma course. you will find many things common in mechanical department with automobile engineering . hope it helps.

Is the mechanical and automation test engineering is the value or not

Indranand Student Expert 28th Mar, 2019
From the structure of the question what I collect is - Mechanical or automation engineering have any value or not?
Mechanical is one of the core branches in engineering. It will never lose its charm wherever you go. The main aim of mechanical engineering is to design and develop machines and tools that will make our daily life easy. The society has always gained from engineering and mechanical engineers have provided a lot to the society.
Mechanical engineering has a lot of value whether it is automation, machine design or any other field.
Coming to automations, it is incredible to see the progress engineers have made. Starting from the cycle to motorcycle to car to aeroplanes , submarines and much more and now using the techniques of artificial intelligence to have automated cars. This shows how vast mechanical engineering can be that it can blend with computer science, electronics and other engineering fields so easily.
The value of any engine field solely depends on its application and Mechanical engineering will always have it's importance. So, the bottomline is - it is of immense importance to all of us.

hello aspirant,
well firstly congratulations for that good score, yes there are plenty of chances for you especially in old iit's also more and more chances in NIT'S like trichy, surathkal, etc .
well sure according to my knowledge ,i think that you will get admission in instrumentation engineering rather than vlsi because for vlsi you needs more.marks and category score you should meet.
