B.H.M.S.
Hello there ,
Hope you are doing well . Yes, there are many such examples of people not only from Maharashtra but other places as well where people after getting BAMS in one year , gave NEET again the next year ,qualified and got a government medical seat sometimes even in their desired medical colleges .
It's all one's choice . If she /he strictly wants to pursue MBBS ,can take a partial drop prepare well and get their desired seat the next year . But yes if you get a government MBBS seat the next year , you'll have to take a transfer certificate from your your then BAMS college and may also have to pay a certain amount of bond money for leaving the seat and also getting all your relevant documents back from the college .
Hope my answer helped.

You cannot register even for Ayush counselling for BHMS in private colleges
This is because,
With your percentile , you have failed to qualify Neet examination but in order to be eligible for getting admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS etc even in private colleges for management quota seat or anywhere you must qualify Neet examination
For your reference,
Neet 2021 qualifying cutoff for different categories is :-

Category cut off percentile Cut off marks

ST 40th 137-108
OBC 40th 137-108

So,
General / EWS category student requires at least 138 marks i. e 50 percentile , to qualify neet 2021.
