I want government college with 65% for civil engineering which college I have to choose in Maharashtra by MHTCET

Piyush 5th Dec, 2021

Hello aspirant,

With your above said score , you have a very low to decent chances for getting any government colleges in Maharashtra or Pune as your score is likely to be less and cutoff varies every year and is different for different categories.

However, referring to the previous year cutoff trends in MHCET , you have some decent chances likely to get these below listed colleges( it's still a prediction, but you can still get these colleges ) :

  • Indira gandhi College of Engineering

  • PK Technical Campus Pune

  • KDK college of engineering.

  • Jaywantrao Swant College of engineering

  • DY patil schools of engineering and Technology

  • Genba sopenrao Moze college of engineering.

and many more.

You can check the below article to know the complete details of MHCET cutoff :

Further, you can check the college predictor tool to know your admission probability in other engineering colleges based on your rank and other relevent details :

I hope that this will help.

Should I take computer science since the industry is booming or should I take civil engineering ? **I live in Assam btw , I heard that ce has more scope here than cs but I am not sure if the information is accurate

nanditamurmu85 4th Dec, 2021
Hi Aspirant.
CSE is better than civil Engineering and this field has a huge growth in public and private sector.. Civil engineering will be easy for you if you dont prefer Maths. CE also has wode variety of opportunity in Assam. But yes scopes in job perspective is higher in CSE and is flourishing in Assam with better progress. Around 5% of the students got placed before the pandemic hit. Around 5 lakh was the highest salary package and the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average salaryvoffered was 4 LPA in the previous years.
Hope the information is helpful
Thank You

nit Warangal metallurgy Vs nit Allahabad civil engineering

pandeyadarsh951 5th Jan, 2022

NIT warangal(nirf rank 23) is ranked higher in nirf ranking than mnnit allahabad(42) so you may have an inclination towards nit warangal but mind that nirf ranking does not tell the full story you should keep in mind that mnnit allahabad has highest average package among all nits also in the recently declared atal innovation ranking mnnit was ranked 10th ahead of many top iits as well now talking about the branches you are stating so in the current scenario civil has better prospects but yes metallurgy is also an evergreen branch so first clear yourself about the branch you are comfortable with but looking at the overall scenario nit allahabad civil would be a good option though final decision will always be yours.

cse vs civil engineering which is best for girls

Vedang Ranmale 22nd Oct, 2021

Hello student,

First of all, there is no course that is gender biased. So, I strongly suggest you that you choose your branch on the basis of your passion and liking towards it.

Civil engineering is more of site oriented whereas CSE is more office oriented. In Civil Engineering you would have to design and construct buildings, highways, bridges, etc. In CSE you have to develop software solutions and develop apps and codes to run the software world smoothly.

If you are good at any of your field, you are bound to get better job opportunities and placements. So, choose between the above traits that you like and make your choice accordingly.

I hope this helps, All the Best!
