Sai Kiran K 24th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Sastra University Ranked 37th among Engineering Colleges in India by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework). Entrance examination for Engineering program are JEE Mains. GATE exam and Board exams. You have to go with either of the exams to get admission in this University. Eligibility criteria for admission in any Bachelors Program of Engineering are .

  • JEE Mains Or Gate Exam on merit based.
  • 10+2 Passed percentage from recognized board.

Sastra university considers both board percentage and JEE Main to get admission in stream 1. It also considers your board percentage, that should be atleast 95+ to get admission in any Program under stream 2. Admission are done based on seats availability, 25% weightage on JEE Mains Merit Based and 75% weightage in Board exams for total 70% seats and 30% seats for 12th percentage for state quota students. You should score atleast  100 -160 marks in JEE Mains to get admission in any program of engineering. But focus more on your board exam percentage, This will help you to get admission from either of the streams.

Hope this information helps you. All the best for your admission.

Thanks & Good luck!..

I have passed 12th in the year 2019,I took the neet exam once in 2019 and again in 2020, now i am studying civil engineering 1st year, what qualifying exam code should i choose?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 22nd Jul, 2021

Hi

You need to choose the code 02.

This is because,

Though you are doing civil engineering your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology/biotechnology remains your 10+2

While, those who have passed 1st year of graduation with all the three subject i. e physics chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology needs to select code 5 and those who have completed BSc with at least any two of physics chemistry and Biology in their bsc need to select code 6.
