Doctor vs. Engineer Assumptions for Analysis

Rajeswari 2nd Jul, 2021

Hello,

From the doctor side the comparisons are primary care & specialist. If you want to become an primary doc you have to spend four yrs and graduate with avg debt. Then you'll have to spend 3 to 4 yrs in residence prior.

For avg specialist four of medical skl. If you want to go into orthopedic surgery it will take 5 yrs, 6yrs for cardiology and 7 yrs for neurosurgery.

In engineering you can start immediately after graduation with starting salary of 1 lakh. And it is not possible to calculate exact living expenses for engineers and doctors.

Hope it helpful.

Thankyou..

sir now I have completed 10 the class I want to study ias but my parents are saying you study doctor I have interested in both what I have to do for better future

Aditi Yadav 2nd Jul, 2021
Hey!

Doctor and IAS both are phenomenal career options and we can't compare them because both career options are tremendous in their own way.

As you have mentioned you want to be an IAS officer so do as per your interest.

Tell your mom and dad why you want to be an IAS officer.

And if you are confused between both the options think the pros and cons, where your interest lies, which career excites you more etc.

And if you want to do both you can also give UPSC CSE after completing your MBBS degree.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.

All the best!

What is the scope and salary of md in internal medicine ?Is dm necessary after that or we can work as a md doctor

Rishin Halder 29th Jun, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Internal medicine is a field of practice concentrated on treating adults. Doctors prevent, identify, and treat diseases that affect all adults, from chronically ill patients, to short time care. On an average the salary is around 1.5 lakh per month and varies depending on where you work, how hard you work , years of experience and extra qualification. An experienced MD in internal medicine can earn 4–5 LPM , while a fresher may get 1–1.2 LPM. It is not necessary to do DM after one completes MD, but one can do it if he wants to have more salary.

Hope this helps,

How to become a ISRO doctor.? :)

Shalini Parimal 25th Jun, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

I think you mean a medical professional. ISRO recruits doctors at entry level and they do get promotions after a residency period. They are recruited under a scheme CHSS (Contributory Health Service Scheme) which was implemented on the lines of CGHS(Central Health Health Scheme).

If you mean doctors (PhD), yes, they are also recruited under various specialities.

To check the medical career options in isro, refer the link of official website of isro careers

Hope this helps.

Thank You!
