Doctor
Dear Aspirant,
to provide the exact salary details of a doctor with an MS/MS degree is difficult to suggest as it may vary depending on various reasons. However, based on statistics and various reports, a doctor holding a degree of MD/MS working in the government sector can earn a salary of approximately within the range of INR 40,000 to 90,000 per annum.
Hey,
After the implementation of NEET , the admission to every MBBS as well as related degree are done on the basis of the same exam.
So firstly you need to sit for the NEET exam . After that you need to separately apply for Armed force medical college ( AFMC) on their official website as per your marks.
If you meet the cut off released by the college then you will be called for admission in the college
Then you need to sit for tests like reasoning skills, English comprehensive test as well as Interview.
After that a composite score is calculated after all the process and if you clear the minimum composite score then you are given admission in the college and after completion of degree you will be able to practice as doctor in army.
Below is the link that explains in detail the admission process of the college.

Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Nope! Without studying in AFMC you can't be a Army Doctor. The main reason for this is that Army Doctors have to be very instantaneous and there treatment procedures are to be done in rough condition where you may not get any hospital setup. Thus the doctors we see and the life of the army doctors are completely different as a result they need some special training and for this without AFMC one can' be an Army doctor.
If you want to join army, then you need to study at AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) which is situated in Pune. Before AFMC used to conduct entrance examination by itself but now the admission is done partially on the basis of NEET score.
The eligibility criteria for the course:
1. He/she must be a Citizen of India. 2. He/she must be unmarried throughout the course. 3. He/she should be medically fit according to the criteria issued by the Ministry of Defence. 4. He/she should have completed 17 years of age but should not be more than 22 years of age (24 years if you're doing a BSc degree and are in final year/have passed). 5. Achievement of at least 60% in PCB and 50% individually in each subject along with English. Also, he/she should have passed all the subjects in their first attempt. Passing in Mathematics in 10th standard is also required.
The admission process is of 3 steps. First you have to apply as per your NEET score. If you get selected then you will be required to sit for a CBT examination in which you would be asked question from English, Logical reasoning and you have to answer 40 question in 30 minutes. The marks in NEET and the online examination will be added and divided by 4 in order to get a marks in 200. Based on that you will be called for an Interview which will comprise of 50 marks. If you qualify interview then you have to study the course in AFMC and after that only you can be an Army doctor.
The seats at AFMC are very less (105 seats for Male candidates and 25 for Female candidates).

Hello lavi,
Its totally up to you, at first you need to clear the NEET exam after 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as a compulsory subject with good marks to get a best government college for yourself, if you spend minimum 1 year on preparation then after you need to pursue MBBS course which is 5.5 year long program, So it will take around 6-7 year after that you can work in hospital whether is is private or government, or in Army hospital (AFMC) or you ca open your own clinic.
If you need any specialization then go for the NEET PG program which is 2 year long, you can go our website to grab more information about this course: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/medical-courses-after-12th

Hi
It's completely fine even if you got 2nd division but what is your aggregate in PCB?
Actually,
your overall % obtained by you in class 12th is not considered for Neet eligibility criteria , only your aggregate % in PCB is taken in account for considering your eligibility as :-
Eligibility criteria says that to be eligible for neet, you should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st category
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
So, if you meet this percentage requirement in PCB as per your category then only you are eligible for Neet examination and after qualifying Neet examination you can get admission in medical courses like MBBS ,BDS Ayush courses and bvsc as well
Also,
* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

Hi,
Let us first see pros and cons of each doctor.
RAILWAY DOCTOR:
Pros- Settled job, Good pay scale, Easy job, also free goodies, Bungalows, passes, etc.
Cons- If you are an ambitious doctor this is not the field for you.
*If you are PG doctor you still have to work like a general practitioner and hence no advantage of being a PG.
ARMY DOCTOR
Pros- Good pay, Great exposure to different kinds of patients, Proper leaves, One of the most prestigious institutions of India, Patriotic feelings, Added perks.
Cons- Staying away from family, Postings change every 2-3 years, Cannot open your private clinic, as a specialist pay is less.
Each of them has there advantages and disadvantages. So I suggest you look out for what you are looking in a job exactly. Your future goals should be aligned with this.
HOPE THIS HELPS
Hello aspirant,
To pursue MBBS, the minimum required qualification to pursue medical course or to become doctor is that one must have passed his/her 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. So you can't become a doctor after passing 12th with commerce stream.
Now if you really enthusiastic about becoming a doctor , you can go for NIOS (national Institute of open schooling) and pass the 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and then you have have give entrance exam for colleges. But I'll suggest you do something in the commerce field rather than changing the stream in middle of the career.
Now coming to the second option that is becoming a Nurse after studying commerce. Yes, you can do Nursing after 12th. A career in nursing requires different set of skills and by doing some Nursing courses.
Below mentioned are two Diploma certificate courses , which happen to be Nursing course after 12th Commerce:
– General Nursing and Midwifery- GNM
– Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery- ANM
