Yes, you can write KCET exam but it is not necessary for B.Sc in Electronics and Communication. Only those candidates who are interested in courses like horticulture/Agriculture/Forestry/Sericulture/Biotechnology/community science they should appear for KCET Exam except them all other courses in B.Sc can be taken by the candidates without appearing for KCET Exam.
I suggest you to write KCET Exam because you'll write the exam once in your life you shouldn't miss it, tomorrow you shouldn't regret yourself by saying that if I would have written KCET there might be a chance to get a better course than Electronics and Communication.
If you have choosen by your interest it is well and good otherwise, you should prefer to write KCET.

BITS pilani- goa campus was established in 2004 and this private college offers 19 courses. It is approved by UGC, AICTE and has grade A NAAC accreditation. The college has great faculty and infrastructure and it is a value for money. The placement is great and provides 100% placement for CS department and 95% placement in other branches. Highest salary package was around 40 LPA and lowest salary offered was around 12 LPA. The average salary is 21 LPA. Top recruiters are amazon, tata motors, thermax, nvidia, skribble, google, Microsoft, apple.

Rank wise KIIT is better than the other two. It has better faculty and higher packages and higher chance of placement as compared to thapar. Manipal jaipur has lower rank. you can choose between KIIT and thapar based on your personal preference. few differences between thapar and KIIT are mentioned below:
Infrastructure wise thapar is better. The fees of thapar is slightly higher than KIIT. But doIng CSE from KIIT would open more ways for your future. It is more of a practical approach.

hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query, I would glad inform you that for further studies thapar university will be much and better option without any doubt . Thapar has a very old and reputed brand name due to which its holds 26 rank in nirf ranking . Moreover ,faculities are also very well experienced and updated with the industry requirement . Infrastructure is also very decent . In placement many companies comes in campus with an average ctc of 6.5 lakhs and highest package went around 18 lakhs

however above mentioned stream are core ece specializations and most of the iits and nits only allow students belongs to ece stream for admission.
you may go for embedded systems , since it is interdisciplinary stream and have application of electronics and programming.
It is a UG course. BSC electronics is bachelor of science in electronics , duration of three years. basic eligibility is 12th class with science subjects. fee structure - 5000 to 2 lakhs.
It is the branch of science deals with movement of electrons. This includes subjects like transistors , vaccum tubes , diodes & Ic's . Subjects studied under this are Quantum mechanics , programming languages, Analog electronics , mathematics . Mathematics & physics are imp for this course. you can apply for lecturer also.
