Hello, Vedang. I hope you are doing well, You mentioned you have secured 274 out of 450 in BITSAT 2021 and you are interested in getting admission to ECE or EEE at any of the BITS campuses. Well, unfortunately, it is less likely for you to grab a seat at ECE or EEE at any of the campuses of BITS.
To be eligible to secure a seat at ECE and EEE through BITSAT Counselling, refer to the following data which I have provided below:
Although, you have low probability to get chance at ECE or EEE, you have good opportunity to grab a seat at other streams such as Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. To get a detailed report based on your performance at BITSAT, check out BITSAT 2021 College Predictor:

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future and career.
Thank you and good luck!
Hi
As per your query both the line of engineering is very prosperous. Both the old or called the core engineering subjects especially electrical which is considered to be an evergreen field of engineering
Electric engineering is the umbrella which includes electronics as well as some other areas like signal processing, communications. Electronics is mostly focused on designing, developing of electronic equipments like computer chips, mother boards etc. You should have a good knowledge of logic gates.
To be honest with you electrical engineering is harder than electronics. Overall engineering is hard and electric is one of the hardest
Both the engineers are paid really well with average salary of 3 to 8 lpa for electrical and 2.5 to 8 lpa for electronics engineering. Both the fields provide government jobs like SAIL, GAIL, BHEL, ISRO for electrical and DMRC ISRO DRDO SAIL for electronics other mncs like hcl, accenture, cognizant, tcs , tech Mahindra provide jobs for electronics engineers and tata motors, jay balaji steel, omega elevators provides work to electrical engineers.
Both of them are good fields with lucrative jobs. Electrical engineering teaches you about conductors with electronics gives you knowledge about semiconductors like silicon, germanium, etc

You will need best 3 percentage for admission in any course of BSc in Delhi university.
Basically DU asks for a percentage of PCM in BSc physical science with electronics.
It would be a big, big gamble on your career. Join at your own risk.
The EEE department is fairly good. But, the Electronics and computer science is the new department under the faculty of electrical engineering. The teachers are not even familiar with it's syllabus very well. And what's more? In most of the cases, teachers of electrical engineering are going to take your computer science subjects as well!!
Some inside news for you, the HOD of EEE department was forced by the college administration to increase the number of seats in the E&Cs department, despite the concerns raised by him, regarding the substrandard skill of teachers in teaching computer science subjects. I
Infact, there's a shortage of professors in the EEE department itself! How are they going to provide decently qualified faculties for E&Cs?
Also, you are going to be the second batch of E&Cs. So, if you want placements, then your senior batch must get to its recruitment phase i.e. Final year, so that one can see the trend of placements. Their future is uncertain as of now. Since, no one can determine whether the companies would prefer a E&Cs candidate, but i am sure that the college placement cell will do its best, but still there's no guarantee.
Hi aspirant,
Kalinga institute of industrial technology doesn't releases the cutoff marks or percentile for the various courses. You need to give your choice preferences during the counseling and a seat is allocated to you based upon your performance in KIITEE and demands of other candidates. By analysing the past trends of two phases and based upon review of candidates a percentile between 75-80 would be required to confirm an ECE seat at the institution.
Hope it helps!!
