Hi,
If the candidate has completed his/her graduation from some other university than he/she cannot opt for direct admissions & will have to sit for entrance exams to pursue post graduate degree in any subject in DU.
If you are from DU then you can apply for direct admissions & the admission will be based on merit but DU has high cut-offs so you may not get a chance to pursue any course there. The cut-off varies from year to year but it is generally more than 88%
Hope this helps.
Hi
In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank.
This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam
--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination
--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam
--------) number of students from different categories
--------) seats available for different branches etc
But yes,
With your 7704 GMR rank , considering you from OBC-B category,
On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data , you have low chances in Jadavpur University on branches asked by you or in any other branch
For example,
In 2020 , in 3rd round of wbjee, 6057 GMR rank for obc-B category was the closing/last rank for Jadavpur University and it was for Printing Engineering/Printing Technology
You have chances in colleges like :-
Goverment College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata:-IT :-8846
Govt. College of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore:- IT
Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, Cooch Behar:- Computer science
And a few more
As per per round 3 , 2020 wbjee cut off available at Official website :-

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our WBJEE college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to, your , your gender etc the link for WBJEE college predictor is provided below

hi,
see b.tech in electronics and computer engineering is a merged stream of ece and cse. you would learn about programming, cloud computing, operating systems along with digital electronics, rf and microwave engineering, solid state devices etc. however from my point of view it is best to take electronics and communication engineering or computer science engineering rather than b.tech in electronics and computers. you will learn the detailed syllabus of ece and cse which would benefits you to make a career in relevant stream.
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well...
GATE examination has no age limit. The minimum eligibility criteria is that the candidate is required to have passed graduation in engineering/technology or a master’s degree in any relevant science subject. Candidates in the pre-final or final year of their qualifying degree also eligible to appear for GATE 2022.
For details about the GATE examination, refer here:

Hope this was helpful.
Should there be any other queries, please feel free to ask.
Good Luck!
If you want to work in the core fields, then you should choice as per the subject. But if you want to go for Coding jobs and you join to IT then I would recommend you to go for IIT BOMBAY Engineering Physics. If you learn coding (for engineering physics/ physics there is coding in different languages such as python, C++, Fortran etc but they aren't that in depth but you can invest some time by taking electives) then you will get amazing offers in IIT BOMBAY. I am not saying BITS will not give you good placements but the environment, the scope and the label that will IIT provide you will be far better than that of BITS. Also for Engineering Physics as a course subject you can get good positions in Automobile Industries, Civil and architectural companies such as L&T. So for IIT you will have a good choice and IIT Bombay is the best institute in India, so if you get a chance don't leave it just for the subject matter as nothing will matter if you are hard working. Now if you are only interested about Electronics then I would say go for BITS. But if you want to get any of the two then go for IIT Bombay.

BTech is a four year UG degree course in Engineering. Now as you have done Diploma then you have to give lateral entrance examination namely UPCET. This examination will offer you admission directly to the 2nd year of BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication in any college in UP.
To know more about UPCET visit the link below:

Some of the colleges you may get via UPCET in UP:
The course fee for the college offering the course can be around Rs. 4lakh for Government colleges approximately (it can be less) and it may go high to Rs. 7lakh for private colleges.

Hi Disha,
Congratulations for your stellar performance in KIITEE. Yes, you can surely upgrade your branch to higher ones such as computer science and engineering or IT. Phase 2 of the counselling has no resemblence with the past one and results would be solely formed on the basis of scores obtained in this examination.
The rank list would be prepared only after conclusion of all three phases and it would not be appropriate to predict your rank now.
Hope it helps!!
See if you see the notifications for vacancies in ISRO by visiting the ISRO careers section then you will observe the fields are exactly mentioned i.e., if the vacancies for CSE then its mentioned for CSE only. Now in general if you see the trends then the vacancies for CSE is 1-5 every year i.e., much less than that of EE or ECE or ME. SO you can go with your field to ISRO and you have better scopes. Now if you want to go for CSE then I would say its dependent on the notification. If it says the stream then you will eligible.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
ISRO releases the post of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' for EEE candidates. EEE graduates are eligible to apply for this post. Usually, this post is for Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical graduates. Please note that these are usually advertised as separate posts.
For example, they might advertise
Scenario 1 : Scientist/Engineer 'SC' post for (Electronics, Mechanical, and computer science)
OR
Scenario 2: Scientist/Engineer 'SC' post for
(Electrical/Civil, etc.,)
EEE graduates can apply for both, i.e. scenarios 1 and 2 ( not necessarily at the same time). It is subjected to the requirements that they are looking for.
As mentioned, the advertisement solely depends on their requirements at a particular point in time. Keep checking the ISRO careers page for the latest notifications and job requirements.
https://www.isro.gov.in/careers
Additionally, On applying for the 'SC' post, ISRO conducts a written exam and on clearing the exam the shortlisted candidates are called for an interview.
