Hello sanaulla,
COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING AND ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING are literally two different branches. So, does their scope vary accordingly.
Let me clarify the actual difference. See, the difference in both of these branches are the subjects. In CSE, it is related to computer science, data structure, algorithm, OOPS, DBMS and many more subjects which are very important for placement and career as from CSE an individual can apply for software engineer roles, developer roles, analyst and many more.
Coming to ECE, it is a semi core branch although the placements are also good you need to work extremely hard in this branch as it is difficult than the CSE. The subjects in each mainly focus on electronics and electrical having circuits, graphs, complex questions etc. The placement is good if you are from TIER1/2 colleges because they provide exposure to their students along with academics and curriculum. If you are from TIER 3 colleges then you need to work harder for the placements.
But the choice is yours. So, choose accordingly.

Thank you!
hello Aspirant
I hope you are doing good .
I would glad to throw some light on your query. CSE and CSE speclization with AI,data science, cloud computing are not very different and both are good and if you are thinking you will land up with good placements if you have cse specialization on on campus placements then you are wrong , yes you will be more skilled with specialzation and can make good projects but for on campus placmeent you need to focus more and more on competitive coding and data structure that only will land you in some good mnc after getting into mnc their is a chance with cse specialization you will get a good team to work with
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
Hey,
If you want to discover your area of interest particularly for selecting the branch in B.TECH, the best thing you can do is to get through the syllabus of the B.TECH course with its branches. Like, you can refer for CSE, Mechanical, ECE etc. By going through it, you will certainly come to know whether you will be able to do best in that branch or not. Moreover, by reading some subjects, you may also get fascinated. Do think about the future prospects of the respective branch, like, what you will do after completing this branch and really you want to do in future by pursuing this branch of B.TECH course. By just thinking and pondering over for some time, you will definitely come to discover about your area of interest.
Hope it helps.
