I scored 94%(ile ) in JEE Main Paper 2. I am from EWS Category, what colleges may I expect?

Abhishek Roy 23rd Mar, 2021

With 94 Percentile in JEE Main Paper 2, being from EWS, you may have fair chances in securing a seat at some of the NITs, SPA as well as Top Architecture Colleges accepting JEE Main Paper 2 Score. I believe with 94 Percentile, you CRL in Paper 2, will be anywhere around 5k and a Corresponding EWS Rank.

I have filled JEE form in EWS category. My EWS certificate issued in 2020-21 and filled JEE form in 2020-21. Admission in EWS quota starts in 2021-22 i.e. after June-21. please tell me for admission i have to get fresh Ews certificate of 2021-22 or first certificate which i have will continue.

Anurag Khanna 15th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See EWS certificate is only valid for one financial year so if it has been issued for financial year 2020-21 then it won't work for 2021-22 and you have to renew it or should apply for new one, but note that if you have applied for JEE-Main 2021 in February 2021 or March 2021 then these months are of financial year 2020-21 according to which your current EWS certificate will be considered as valid but the admission will be conducted on the month of June-July which will be the months of financial year 2021-22 so you should produce your very latest EWS certificate for admission.

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteria but yes if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% in your class 12th if you belongs to General/Unreserved category and 65% if you belongs to any of the reserved category.

> Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

This year JEE-Main is being conducted with slight changes in it's pattern and it's conduction and you can check out all the changes from the link given below :-
