In indian universities bachelor in production engineering takes duration of four years, the eligibility criteria for production engineering course is candidates must have studied 12th course with physics, chemistry and mathematics as a compulsory subjects.. or candidates must have complete 3 years diploma engineering course from a relevant discipline to join btech in production engineering course from second year.

now coming to production engineering syllabus, it is combination of mechanical engineering and operation management course. there is decent work opportunity in manufacturing industry, eastern refinery, power plants etc. however since Indian industry has lacked jobs in core engineering field, if you chose this stream you have to be very selective about college. I would only recommend to go for government college,  iits, nits or tier 1 engineering colleges for placement purpose.

Hence, Selling Price= 10 per unit-Variable Cost=6 per unit contribution which is equal to 4 per unit total contribution= 4 per unit * 100000 units= 4 lakhs

So, final profit= 4 lakhs - 2 lakhs (Fixed Cost= 2 lakhs.
