In Mining Engineering you will learn about the technologies and techniques used for identification and extraction of minerals from the earth.
The role of mining engineer starts from the discovery of mineral resource, processing of mineral commodities, designing and construction of mines, controlling mining operations and transportation of minerals.mining engg is for sure an better option seeing the pay scale there nowadays there are very few colleges offfering courses in mining engg.... as a result of which demand for mining engineers has increased a lot but lifestyle is very difficult
Hyy,
In mining branch you do not need a good CGPA instead practical knowledge is more important for placements although certain companies may ask for a specific minimum cutoff. But placements are sure if you have a good knowledge of the mining subject. You can gain this by going to the mining fields.
I would suggest you to go for mining engineering but you should decide based on your preferences and on the subjects and career choice that you are interested in.
I hope that helps you to make a wiser decision. Rest, the success in any field depends upon your own quest to knowledge, hard work & networking skills. All the best for your future endeavors.
Hi there!
Neither that good nor not that bad. Core companies will be much less compared to mechanical. Companies like TATA motors,LnT, MRF do let production people to sit with mechanical people for placement. But most of the core companies like Bajaj,GM,Maruti wont let them to sit with mechanical as they wont consider it equivalent to mechanical. Mainly due to these reasons, there will be revision in production syllabus to reduce their workload compared to mechanical,so that the students wont have a feeling like they are studying everything a mechanical engineer studies, but still wont get an equivalence certificate.
Thanks

To attract customers, your products must have some value that benefits them and you can plan for the best with the help of this course. Besides, basic management courses are usually part of engineering degrees that will help you. Most good engineering colleges also have incubation centres (entrepreneurship development centres) through which you can setup your own startup, if you have an innovative business idea during your college life itself.
Hope it helps. All the best!

Hello,
The cost flows in a process costing system are similar to the cost flows in a job costing system. The primary difference between the two costing methods is that a process costing system assigns product costs—direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead—to each production department (or process) rather than to each job. Each production department has its own work-in-process inventory account when using process costing.
