I have lot of doubts in my brain some of them are: write gate or go with appgeset? in appgeset I got 55Marks according to the key fee in jntuk for 2 years? fee of hostel for 2 years? is government hostel food good? what is the fee reambensment in mtech?

Tarreni Behera 18th Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

Both AP PGECET and GATE offers M. Tech programmes for post graduation.

The factors that shall motivate a person to appear one or both of these examinations are:-

1. If you want to join a university within your state( which means it will be close to your house)

2. If your preferred mtech programme is provided by the requisite college.

3. If you want a PSU job or post graduation programme. You must know that by applying GATE you have opportunity to be part of PSUs which you won't find with AP PGECET.

As far as food in government colleges are concerned, dude, it is not comforting as own houses or own state cuisines, but edible enough. Moreover, half of the engineering students generally dine outside than in their hostels.

But if you are looking for home-cooked food, then you probably won't get it. However, bro career comes first than food and you know what to do

As far as your marks are concerned, you shall have some competition to grab your preferred mtech programme in preferred institute.

what is the difference between course bsc food science and quality control (self finance) and bsc food science and quality control (home science). please tell

Suvakanta Sahu 8th Sep, 2020

Dear Kusum ,

Food Science and Quality Control is the study of all the technical aspects of food. Food science combines principles from disciplines like microbiology, biochemistry and chemical engineering. Subjects usually studied under this degree are Nutrition and Food Commodities, Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Sanitation & Hygiene, Preparation & Packaging Materials, Food Analysis Adulteration & testing, Food Toxicology, etc.

Whats the major difference between self finance and Home science !

Self Financing courses are courses for which Government or UGC financial aid is not provided and student has to bear the cost of study and mostly working students do this course and meet the expenses of study themselves. Self financing courses cost more than the regular courses but the curriculum remain the same .Only this is the major difference between this course and all everything's are similar .

Hope it will helpful

Thanks

Boond M 4th Sep, 2020

Hey,

You haven't mentioned if you need important topics for prepration of entrance exam for M.Sc. in Food amd Nutrition or just for assessment basis. If it's for entrance exam based the syllabus is only what you have studied in the Bachelor's. There won't be competitive level questions for am entrance exam so just get thorough with your knowledge that you gained in graduation.

Which food we can give to Baby Piranha Fish?

Vipul Chaudhary 25th Sep, 2020

Hi there!

Piranhas in the wild are generalists, feeding on fish, crustaceans, insects, plants, fruits, nuts and seeds. Do not feed your piranhas live goldfish or other feeder fish if you can help it! They can transfer diseases and are not nutritionally balanced. Avoid buying adult piranhas that will only eat live feeder fish. Also, don’t feed piranhas chicken, beefheart or other mammalian foods, as they may contain fats that your fish cannot metabolize and this can cause health problems over time. Young piranhas will thrive on Aqueon® Tropical Flakes, Color Flakes, Tropical Granules, Shrimp Pellets and Cichlid Pellets along with frozen tropical fish foods. Adults can be fed medium to jumbo Aqueon® Cichlid Pellets and Monster Fish Medley, as well as frozen krill and other large frozen aquarium fish foods. For best results, rotate their diet regularly and feed only what they can consume in 2 to 3 minutes. Net or siphon out uneaten food immediately. When keeping more than one piranha, make sure they don’t go hungry or they may go after each other.

Thank You.

which one is the best one of chemical, bio medical, food science and metallurgy in government college or CSE,ECE,EEE in private btech college

Abhishek Roy 13th Oct, 2020

In case the Government College is an good IIT or NIT or some good GFTI/ State Government College like PEC or DTU choose Metallurgical/Chemical there at your rank. Both are very exciting branches with opportunities in both Core and Non Core as well as Research. While if the Private College you are talking of is a BITS or similar top Private Institute, no doubt overlook everything and join CSE or a circuital branch there.

If none of the above case relates to you, join CSE or ECE at any good Private College you are talking of. Only if the other options are none of Top Government or Private Institutes like BITS Pilani

Sanjana Shashikanth 2nd Sep, 2020

Hello Gogulakonda,

Nutrition and Food technology are interrelated fields but in deep they both are different and important.

Both fields are gaining momentum.

So it depends on you which field you've to pursue and could bring revolution in the same.

So In my opinion both courses are good, but food technology would be better.

Hope you find this useful

Have a great day ahead

Hello,

For food science and nutrition there are different branches you can choose. For nutrition you can go for Bsc Nutrition courses where you'll be taught about the nutrients which is to be taken care while preparing diets and also you'll be taught about how to increase the macro and micro nutrients in food. In food sciences which come under Life-science stream and known as Bsc Food Technology carries core branches like dairy, fermentation, industrial preparations, microbiology, biotechnology etc which is most referred if you want to make your profession in food industry.
