Hello,
UPSC and CAT are completely different field, both the exams are highly competitive and in recent times it has become more so, hence I would say focus on one specific field, if you want a career in management go for MBA, the eligibility criteria for CAT is passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, on the other hand to appear for UPSC there is no minimum aggregate required you just need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, and you are required to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, IAS is an highly coveted job profile, and you will require higher level of dedication, commitment, perseverance, single-minded focus on your part, apart from power and prestige that comes along the job profile you will play an important role in the development of the country by contributing in various aspects, you should take your time and then only take decision accordingly but preparing for both is very difficult, more so because there is no areas of commonality in terms of exam pattern, syllabus, or even job profile, what you can do is as you're still in college, explore your areas of interest, you can do so by volunteering, or apply internships, and by going through this training you will gradually get to know what's your calling, if you're more inclined towards a career in management, then go for MBA, if not then you can go ahead with IAS, whatever it is, give your self enough time to explore the various options and then only decide accordingly.
Dear aspirant !
Hope you are doing great! If after becoming ias officer you want to change the sections then you can it.but it is not so easy task you have to resign first and then fight the election s and become the part of parliament the from where you can do some changes but the process takes many years from ias to parliament member.
Best wishes for your future !

I hope you are doing fine, Yes you can. It is very normal and ethical for any civil officer to open an YouTube channel and be an social media influencer to motivate the young aspirant to work more hard and learn about the what truly civil services are. But if your monthly income exceeds 1Lakh per year then you must mention it in your yearly earning Form 16.
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.
Good Luck
Firstly, I would like to state that the worth of something totally depends upon the one's will to pursue and his passion towards it. Many people aspire to become an IAS officer with a sole motive to bring about constructive changes in the society and make a difference. If you are really willing and have the courage to fight against the resistance to bring about productive and valuable changes in the society, you will use this power provided to you in a responsible and benevolent manner.
History has seen many reformative and positive IAS officers who have brought about revolutionary changes in the society such as Naresh Chandra, Vinod Rai, etc.
I hope you find this information helpful.
All the best for your future!
As I can see you have written I want to become an IAS Officer in science so in Science you can't be an IAS officer it must be mistaken when you have written might. Ok so let's come to the question of yours that in which degree I should do my graduation.
To become an IAS officer you have to give UPSC CSE examination and in that eligibility is only to have graduate from any recognised University in which every stream doesn't matters. So I want to tell you that you can do your graduation in which stream you want it into which you feel interested and can devote much of the time without getting bored and with that start your preparation of UPSC CSE examination and with great work and dedication you can excel in that.
Or you can also do Bachelor in Arts as most of the syllabus coincide with UPSC CSE examination and it will help you you in your preparation during graduation onwards.
I hope it helps you!
Hello aspirant
Good to see you that you want to become an IAS officer,as I don't do in which academic you are in school or in College.
Firstly fever in school then firstly complete your schooling life with good grades then I would suggest you to do your graduation firstly because the minimum eligibility criteria to appear in UPSC CSE examination is that you must complete your graduation in whichever stream doesn't matters.
Switched at your graduation after completing your school life or if you are in a graduation and doing graduation currently then you can start from now only also so we were completing our school life then you can start your preparation from the first year of graduation and after completing your graduation you can give UPSC CSE examination and if you qualify that then you will get your name in the merit list that's all to become IAS officer.
Best of luck!
Dear aspirant!
Hope you are doing well! Happy to read your query that you want to become an IAS officer but this needs a proper startegy. In class 11 you can take in which you keep interest.I clear you a thing that not only arts students clear upsc even science students nowadays topped UPSC.Also this year Shubham Kumar, IITian secured air1 so it depends on you which stream you select.after 12 start your preparation during graduation and maintain far distance from social media for at least 1 year.Have faith in yourself,be confident ,consistent and careful.
