Hello

There are many IIMs as well as some other colleges other than IIMs from where you can get call.As your academics marks is good and also you have job experience of 3 years which is plus point for you.You can calls from many old IIMs like IIM Calcutta,IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad and also many baby IIMs like IIM Nagpur,IIM Rohtak,IIM Vishakhapatnam,IIM Indore but it depends on what their sectional cut off.As your sectional cut off in all three subjects is good, you have more chance to get good IIMs and some good colleges.

https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/which-b-schools-can-i-get-if-my-cat-percentile-between-90-and-100 You can check colleges and at your given percentile here.

Hope This Helps

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 10th Jan, 2020
You can definitely get a good college if you manage to score over 90 percentile as that would compensate for your past academic records. You can get a call from these colleges
  • LIBA Chennai
  • IMT Ghaziabad
  • XIMB Bhubaneshwar
  • Prin LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research
  • GIM Goa
  • BIM Trichy
  • BIMTECH Noida
  • Nirma University
  • IMI Delhi and others
They have a great Management program and a very strong reputation among industries. You'll have to apply to the colleges through their official website and then only you'll get a call.

Good Luck

i have scored 89.10 percentile in cat with 97.45 in VA, 91.83 in LRDI, 35.82 in QA, I also scored 190 marks in NMAT. I have 8.4 CGPA in 10th and 84.6% in 12th and 64% in Graduation. Kindly suggest colleges.

To begin with, I would first like to congratulate you on securing such a decent percentile. It is a reflection that your hard work and consistency has paid off. But a little bit of hard work in quants would have been good for you. Though with your percentile, you could have a chance of securing a call from some of the baby IIMs like IIM Jammu, IIM Ranchi(HR Program), IIM Sirmaur, etc but due to poor quant score you might lose out on that. But fortunately, that is the case for only IIMs. These sectional cut offs do not hold for other B-Schools and you will definitely get a call from tier-2 b-Schools which are good enough to land you into a decent package of 10-12 Lakhs Per Annum package.

I am listing down some of those B-Schools from which you could get a call for their GD/PI process and their average package:

B-Schools

Average Package(in Lakhs Per Annum)

Goa Institute of Management, Goa

11.22

Xavier Institute of Management,Bhubaneswar

13.5

T A Pai Institute of Management, Manipal

11.06

IFMR, Chennai

9

Fore School of Management, Delhi

10.8

KJ Somaiya, Mumbai

9.4

LIBA, Chennai

9

LBSIM, Delhi

9.2

Welingkar, Mumbai

7.07

BIM, Trichy

10

Though this is not an exhaustive list and may include several other colleges from which you may get a call depending upon whether you fill their form or not.

Now coming to your NMAT score. It is a borderline score. Though you will not get a call from NMIMS Mumbai but calls from NMIMS Hyderabad and Bangalore campuses can be in your email. Apart from that you may also get a call from Xavier Institute of Management for BM, HRM and RM program. SDA Bocconi and IBS Hyderabad will surely be giving you a call for their further selection process.

You can also appear for CMAT, MHCET and TISS-NET exams for their flagship colleges and courses and believe me they make you a gateway to a lot of good B-Schools.

Finally, it will totally be your decision and whatever stream you choose, do have a talk with their current students as conversing with the college authorities will always give you a rosy picture which can sometimes be not the actual case.

I hope I am able to solve your query. All the best!!!

Can any one with 49%marks in graduation sit for the exam?

Inayath 17th Feb, 2020

Hi Srishti,

Sorry, But your question is bit incomplete and leads to confusion. As you haven't mentioned about which exam or college you are referring about. But still as per all exam point of view, you need to graduate with minimum 50% aggregate. But still it all depends on type and authority of exam you are writing.

Hope you get it. Feel free to ask, we are here to help you.

Thank you. Best of luck.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 8th Jan, 2020

Hello Rishma

XAT mostly considers these 5 things with 5th being the most important of all(obviously with good XAT score).

ass x/ xii/ grad marks

work-ex

xat score

extra curriculars

pi and WAT.

But as you have mentioned that you have only 45% in graduation then it will be an uphill task for you to make it to the final list.

i have 80% in class 10 and 78% in 12. but in graduation i scored 457/900 which is 50.78%. with such scored do i have a chance in colleges like wellingkar, great lakes ??

Aishwarya Kadam 8th Jan, 2020

Hi,

You have not mentioned the respective entrance exam percentile you obtained, incase you have given the entrance exam. You have also not mentioned the entrance exam name through which you wish to pursue admission to Welingkar Institute of Management,Mumbai (WE School) and Great Lakes Institutes of Management.

However here is the information:

The expected cutoff percentile for WE School and Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurgaon and Chennai is around 80 percentile in the CAT exam.

The expected cutoff percentile for WE School for MMS courses is 99.95%ile in MAT exam.

WE School also accepts the XAT, ATMA, CMAT, GMAT and MBA CET scores for its admissions.

Great Lakes Institutes of Management accepts the CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT scores for its PGDM admissions.

Hence, along with the profile criteria; if you cross the cut off percentile too of the entrance exam; then you can expect a call from these B-Schools. You do have a slim chance with your profile.

You can check out the MBA Call Predictor for different entrance exams:

i have scored 49.93 percent marks in graduation fell short by 1 marks which college should i fill...if i cross the percentile required by college in cmat should they allow me get admitted in there college....what should i do please help me

Pranav Mishra 26th Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Your percentage is very low, For getting in any reputed college you should have at least 50 percent in graduation,10th and 12th. Because companies mostly shortlist candidate on the basis of their percent, And in my college there are some companies coming for summer internship who don't take any students below 60 percent in graduation and having, So college also prefers to take students having good percent in graduation, Although my words are hard but it is reality.

I hope the above information is beneficial for you.

All the best.
