Is instrumentation and control engineering is good?

varunprathore442_6159888 Student Expert 16th Jul, 2019

Hello Bhusahan,

The INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ENGINEERING is a very interesting branch of engineering. People who have interest in INSTRUMENTs, how they are manufactured and what are the uses of those instruments, generally take admission into this. So if you really have interest in INSTRUMENTS then only you join because the placement for ICE is very limited and less because of which you will suffer in last if you don't study with interest.

I hope you will find my answer helpful.

All the best.

Sweta Suman Student Expert 14th Jul, 2019

Hello..

Both the fields you have mentioned ie instrumentation and control engineering and electrical engineering are very good.

But electrical engineering is very vast and they tend to find job easily if done from a good University.

While the demand for instrumentation and control engineering is less but the scope is high.

You can find job in both the cases

Hope this is helpful

Is instrumentation and control engineering is good to prepare for gate?

Arunachalam M Student Expert 13th Jul, 2019

Yes

It's a decent branch

Actually don't see the preparation.

If you are seeing the competition in gate it's less so it's advantageous.

Instrumentation engineering definitely has good scope in future don't worry

I got two colleges for admission 1 bharati vidhayapeet 2 MCTs Ragjiv Gandhi. For instrumentation engineer

Kshitij Raj 12th Jul, 2019

Hey buddy,

I would suggest Bharati Vidyapeeth rather than Rajiv gandhi. Not in the terms of placement only because placements varies from year to year in every college. There is never any fixed average placement but in many other cases Bharati vidyapeeth is better for example :

Infrastructure : The building is round. The library is well-equipped with basic engineering reference requirements. The building is painted every year. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The canteen is so as that they renew the contract with new people every year. Labs are updated and satisfy the requirements. The classrooms are sufficient for a batch.

Faculty : All the faculty members are always helping. There are 14 teachers in department. All the teachers have Ph.D.

The food and accomodation and cultural and social life is also very satisfying.

Hope this helps

Is instrumentation and control engineering is core branch?

muskan pardasani 9th Jul, 2019

Hey Rohit

No, Instrumentation and Control engineering is not a core branch. Their are only three core branches- Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Although it is not properly a non core branch because in some or the other way, it has evolved from Electrical and consists of basically robotics and control and software-hardware theory(rough basis). The branch has not been that successful yet in our country, but is on its way. We still need a lot of development required.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask any other queries.
