Hello,
Yes, joining NCC (National Cadet Corps) is a very good option for you, especially as a civil engineering diploma student. It helps build discipline, leadership, physical fitness, and teamwork skills, and also adds extra weightage if you plan to appear for defense, government, or PSU jobs later.
Since your college doesn’t have an NCC unit, don’t worry, you can still join as an open candidate . Here’s what you can do:
Visit the nearest college or institution that has an NCC unit (Army, Navy, or Air Wing).
Meet the NCC Officer (ANO) or visit the nearest NCC Battalion headquarters in your district.
Ask to register as an open cadet under that unit.
Submit your 10th marksheet, ID proof, and medical certificate if required.
So yes, joining NCC is definitely worth it. You just need to apply through a nearby college or NCC battalion office since your own college doesn’t have it.
Hope you understand.
No, don’t worry, it won’t create any major problem in your JEE form.
Since you’ve already mentioned CBSE correctly in the section where it asks for your board name, the “qualification type” option (like Any Public School/Board) is just a general category for schools affiliated with national boards.
As long as your roll number, passing year, and board name (CBSE) are correct, your form is valid. You’ll just need to carry your original 12th marksheet during document verification, that will confirm your board.
No issue, your form will be accepted.
Hello Geeta,
No, you cannot directly take admission in Class 12 without passing Class 11. Every recognized board, whether CBSE, HBSE, or any private school board, requires students to complete Class 11 first. Skipping Class 11 is not allowed.
Since you are doing Class 10 from NIOS, you have two options:
Continue in NIOS and take admission in Class 12 (after getting your 10th marksheet).
Take admission in Class 11 in any regular school or open school near Jhajjar, and then move to Class 12 after that.
If you skip Class 11, your 12th certificate will not be valid, and you may face problems during JEE registration and admission to IITs, as JEE requires valid 10th and 12th marksheets from recognized boards.
So, it’s better to complete 11th first (regular or open), then do 12th. That way, you will face no problem in JEE or IIT admission.
Hope it helps !
HELLO,
A 3 year old character certificate is unlikely to be accepted for NEET counselling in Karnataka , as most authorities require one from your last attended institution and it should be recent.
So it is recommended to get a new updated character certificate from your most recent school or college to avoid issues during document verification.
Hope it will help!
SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized exam used for admission to undergraduate programs, mainly in the United States and Canada .
It tests your skills in Reading, Writing, and Math .
With a good SAT score, you can apply to many top universities like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yale, and others in the U.S., and also some universities in Canada, the U.K., Australia, and Singapore that accept SAT scores for admission.
In short, the SAT helps you get admission to foreign universities for bachelor’s degree programs .

If you uploaded your Class 12th marksheet instead of the Class 10th one by mistake, it’s usually not a big issue, but it depends on the stage of your application.
If the correction window is available, you should re-upload the correct Class 10th marksheet during that period.
If the correction window is closed, you can inform the authorities during document verification or counselling . They will check your original documents in person, so you can show both your Class 10th and 12th marksheets there.
Since your other details are correct, this small mistake won’t affect your candidature , as long as you have the original Class 10th certificate for verification later.
