sir i clear jee main 2021 and get 85.86percentile and belong to obc-ncl and i belong from Uttar Pradesh can i get nit college

Manas Daspriya 17th Sep, 2021

Dear aspirant,

It's very complicated to say whether you can get admission in NIT's as the competition level of the exam are increasing day by day.

This time in 2021, near about 6 lakh candidates gave the exam,which is heavily less than previous counts,9+ lakhs,so there would be great changes in the cut-off compared to previous year's.

Now coming to other government colleges,you can apply to the colleges accepting admission through jee mains. Apply to other state colleges accepting mains result. Give other exams too,i am sure you can get good rank in state exams. Or the other option left for you is to prepare again for jee and do better this time,you will atleast need a percentile near to 97.5 %ile and above to secure a seat in central colleges considering your category.

To know your other chances through JOSSA & State level Government & private colleges, You can use the JEE Main College Predictor tool given below.

Best of Luck...

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Sep, 2021

Hi

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) performance of different students in the examination,

-----------) the branch you want,

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your rank in jee main

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>>>>>>  With 3662  ews  rank

you have chances in following  which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under other state :-

---------) NIT Srinagar :- cse:-3856 ews rank

---------) National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal:-Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):-3941 ews rank

---------) National Institute of Technology Allahabad:- civil engineering:-4276 ews rank

I am a visually PWD person. . I have got 44 percentile in jee main 2021. Through this exam number could I register for jee advance 2022 ?

Anurag Khanna 19th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Yes definitely you are eligible for JEE-Advance 2021 on such percentile and category

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2021 result so now it is clear that at what percentile the candidate is eligible for JEE-Advance 2021. As per the NTA, qualifying cut-offs goes like :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

So with 44 percentile you are qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 and you can apply for JEE-Advance 2021 using the official site given below :-

I was passed up board examination in 2020 and i got my result in 27th june and i give jee main 2021 and i can not qualified jee main nor advanced can i appear jee advanced 2022 after jee main 2022

Aditya 16th Sep, 2021

Hi aspirant,

No you won't be eligible to appear for JEE advance exam in 2022 even if you qualify JEE main. According to the current norms of NTA, a candidate can appear for JEE advance exam for two consecutive years starting from the year he/she appears for the higher secondary examination.

However you can appear for Jee main 2022 and based upon your performance and through Counselling process find a place in NIT or IIIT's.

Hope it helps!!

I got 89.8 percentile in Jee Main 2021, EWS category. What would be my AIR and what colleges can I get admitted into?

Harsha Sinha 16th Sep, 2021

Hi there,

Since your percentile score is 89.8 and you belong to ews Category then your AIR would be around 1.2lakhs and your category rank would be around 15k .

Hence with these score you can get some good colleges and if you have any nit or iiit in your state then you can avail that benefit also.

But the chances are very low of getting into the nits or iiits but you might get a seat until the last rounds but chances for that is low.

There are other college where you can definitely get a seat like

  • BIT meshra (branch campus)
  • Jecrc
  • Thapar
  • Pec
  • Bit sindri etc

These are some college options, for more college options you can use our college predictor tool
