Hello Aspirant,
PGDM i.e., Post Graduate Diploma in Management and MBA Master of Business Administration both are management courses. The difference is that one is a diploma course and the other is a degree course.
Sometimes, the PGDM course is looked down upon because of its name. PGDM and MBA have the same job profile and eligibility.
The basic difference is that the degree course is mainly more theory-oriented while the other is more practical oriented. The degree course is not altered much while the diploma course is changed and made according to the new conditions. Both the courses have similar education programs. These courses are of 2 years duration.
The fee structure varies according to the institution. Both the courses have a fee structure that varies from 5- 25 lakh per annum. But institutes like FMS Delhi which provides MBA have fewer fees as compared to other IIMs.
Both these courses have similar scope and demand in the job domain, the company in which you are applying will look for relevant skills and interests. Placements and salary both depend on the college or university you have enrolled in and your knowledge and skills.
I hope it helps.
Thank you
