Generally, in any counseling process, income certificate is necessary most of the times for category students. However, some seats in JOSAA counseling also require your income proof (generally less than 8lakh) irrespective of the category through which you enter the counseling. If you are a OPEN student, you may need to upload the income certificate at the time of counseling or later at the time of admission since your parents are govt employees. Hence, it would be beneficial for you to keep ready your income certificate handy so that you can present if asked at any step. Till that time you may visit the official JOSAA website to check other documents required to be uploded during the counseling.

There is no option to save the seat you got in the AP EAMCET counselling till JEE Main counselling is conducted. The schedule for the JEE Main counselling is not yet declared by the officials while Self-Reporting & Reporting at college for AP EAMCET is from September 6 to 12, 2022. If you don't report to the college then you will loose your seat. APSCHE will commence the AP EAMCET 2022 counselling registration from August 22 at sche.ap.gov.in. The AP EAMCET 2022 counselling will be conducted in an online mode. Keep an eye on the official website or the link below for the latest information.

As per your rank it will be difficult for you to get colleges with good branches. You should go for JOSAA and CSAB counselling it will be beneficial for you to get  colleges and also you can apply for Central University.

Cutoff varies every year depending on various factors. Keep in mind that your chances to get a seat will depend on the following basis:

• Number of seats available
• Number of students applied for the same branch
• Performance of the students
• The category you belong to etc.

It's difficult to predict college as it depends on number of factors such as:

1. Number of seats available.
2. Number of candidates willing for a particular branch and college.
3. Category one belongs to.
4. Home state in case of NITs

With your rank you might have chances in NIT Manipur, NIT Mizoram, NIT Goa, NIT Sikkim, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Durgapur, BIT Jalandhar if anyone of them is home state to you.

Other good government college you can consider is HBTU. There are high chance that you get seat here.

There is no need to upload your category certificate for JOSAA counselling because the same category will be considered for counselling that you have filled in JEE-Main and you will have to submit your certificate at the time of admission in the allotted institution.

Documents which you have to carry to the reporting centre for NITs/IIITs/GFTIs :-

1. Three Passport Size Photographs identical to the one Uploaded in JEE Main 2021 Registration
2. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter

The official date is yet to be announced by JoSAA. No notifications regarding counselling have been given till date. Most probably it will start by 11-12 September after the declaration of JEE Advance results. Last year, counselling started the very next day after Advance results. So, the tentative dates should be 11/12 September .

Counselling for JEE Mains is not different from that of advanced. JoSAA counselling is conducted for admission into IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. So, it will only start after JEE advanced result.

Yes, your category rank does matter in JOSAA, in fact in most cases it matters more than your CRL.

It is because the way that system works is the software will check your first preference, if you are getting that college with your CRL, then well and good but if not, then it will go and check your category rank. Now if you are getting that preference with category rank, you will be allotted that, if not then it will move to second preference, and same process will be repeated.

Now thing here to note is that as there is significantly competition in many categories you are way more likely to get admission in college of your choice with category rank when compared to CRL.

Hope you are doing great.  In order to do choose filling in JOSAA Counselling:

• All candidates must submit their preferences for institute and programme in the order they are listed in their registration documents.
• The candidate's eligibility will determine the institutes and programmes that are available to them. Candidates may select as many options from the list of available options to fill out in the order of their preferences.
• If a candidate wants to alter their preferred options, they may do so within the allotted time for each round specified in the counselling schedule. Only after choices have been locked are candidates required to take a printout of the completed choices.
• There are two panes on the choice filling page. Both the left and right panes display every option that is currently available. From the left pane, candidates can add as many options as they want in the order of preference (available choices). The choice will be added to the right pane and removed from the left pane as soon as they press the "Add" button in the left pane to add a specific choice. After clicking the "SAVE" button, the choices that are currently in the right pane will be taken into consideration as submitted choices.
