in March session I secured 80 percentile is there any chance to get nit in open category if I work for remaining attempts

Sharon Rose Student Expert 11th May, 2021

Hello,

With 80 percentile the overall expected rank will be in between 204600 - 230000 as per our JEE MAIN Rank Predictor Tool. With such rank it is not possible to get seat in NITs. You many not even qualify in JEE Main considering the previous year qualifying cut off percentile for JEE Main. But if you aim to score minimum 97-98 percentile in JEE Main upcoming sessions there is a scope to get seat in NIT. In 2020 the cut off percentile for JEE Main was 90.3765335 for general category candidates. In 2021 the qualifying cut off percentile is expected to be in between 90-95 percentile. The cut off changes every year depending on the number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and number of seats available etc.

To get an idea about the cut off for NITs check the cut off using the link below

in March attempt I secured 80 percentile is there any chance to get nit in open category if I work on remaining attempts

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 11th May, 2021

Hi

With  80 percentile

With this rank, your chances of getting a seat in NIT is extremely low. Even to get a seat in lower NITs your  rank should have been at least around 50,000

For example,

National Institute of Technology Agartala is one of the lowers NITs and in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, the closing rank for general category in NIT Agartala was  50010 rank and it was for Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.asp (https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx)

So, to get into NIT you need at least around 96 percentile.

But yes,

You  have chances in lower government engineering college, some of which are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

*Dr APJ Abdul Kalam UIT Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Jhabua :- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/dr-apj-abdul-kalam-uit-rajiv-gandhi-proudyogiki-vishwavidyalaya-jhabua/cut-off

*Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/jabalpur-engineering-college-jabalpur/cut-off

*Usha Mittal Institute of Technology, Mumbai:- https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/usha-mittal-institute-of-technology-mumbai/cut-off

Above prediction of colleges is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

I have given Jee march and got 90 percentile. I want to revise concepts for physics. Is Physics Galaxy Revision Checklist Good for revision. Is it beneficial for those who havent studied anything?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 7th May, 2021

Hey There!

Physics Galaxy revision Checklist by Ashish Arora is good for those who want to do revision only and has completed the entire syllabus. You can revise from those videos and practice some previous years questions explained in the video. I would suggest you to pause the video and solve the problem yourself, this will help you check your grip in the concept.

But for those who haven't studied anything, it would get difficult to understand the whole concept in a short video.

Hope I answered your query, thankyou!

see the 12th board exam has delayed and it might have chances that you would get another opportunity to fill the improvement exam form. you did not mention which of the board you have enrolled for 12th course and passed the 10+2 course in last year. nevertheless immediately check the official site or contact with school authority or exam control authority to know about exam and form filling.

i got 61.5 pecentile in jee mains march 2021.i m n obc category. Will i get a seat in NIT TRICHY

Atul Singh 15th Jun, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

NIT Trichy is a very prestigious college with high cutoff, you need to score more to get a seat here in your further attempts. In the range of 61.5 percentile your rank should be around 450000, and in that range you will get only private colleges with high fees and donation still you can try some private colleges if you can afford.

Best of Luck for your further attempts!!

Need guidance, I had cleared my b.com in 2017 and opened a company of my own. Everything was going great but in march 2020 the operations were suspended and i had to closed down the company. So, what should i pursue for my studies now because am struggling to decide need a proper guidance. HELP ME

Atif Ali 6th May, 2021

Hello,

You will have decide that what course you're willing to pursue. As you have tagged M.Arch (Master's of Architecture) then let me tell you that you're not eligible to pursue this course, as it is mandatory for a candidate to have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognised University of India.

But there are still many courses like M.A (Master of Arts), MBA (Master's of Business Administration) or you can pursue M.Com. I would recommend you to pursue MBA, Carrer options are great after completing MBA. NOW, to pursue MBA, you will have to appear for some National level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, or CMAT or you can appear for some State or Institute level entrance exams like XAT, TANCET, MHCET etc. You can sit for 2 more exams in a year. After that your Admission will be done through merit list released by Participating Institutes.

To know more about CAT 2021, please go through this link

https://www.google.com/amp/s/bschool.careers360.com/articles/cat/amp

I am listing some M.Com entrtrace exams as well, have a look-

1. DU M.com

2. Allahabad University PGAT

3. OUCET Entrance Exam

4. Kurukshetra University M.com exam

5. PESSAT Exam 2021

You can still apply for aforementioned exams

Good Luck.
