As per official answer key release of March 2021, and I have achieved 90 marks in 18th march shift 1, 2021 , so what percentile should I expected? Remember the exam was easy to moderate...

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th Mar, 2021

Hello,

According to experts analysis with 90 marks your overall expected percentile is going to in between 88.61 - 91.47 and the expected rank will be 102300 - 115000  Considering the previous year qualifying cut off you have decent chances to qualify in JEE Main regardless of the category you belong to. The qualifying cut off was as follows

  • General:90.3765335
  • OBC-NCL:72.8887969
  • EWS:70.2435518
  • SC:50.1760245
  • ST:39.0696101
  • PWD:0.0618524

You have not mentioned your rank assuming that you belong to general category it is difficult to get seat in NITs/IIITs/GFTIs with such rank. You need to score minimum 97 percentile. But you may qualify in JEE Main so if you are interested to get admission in IIT you can prepare for JEE Advanced.

To check the cut off for various NITs and IIITs use the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits

You can also predict the colleges in which you may have chances of getting seat using our JEE Main college predictor tool

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Here is the list of few colleges other than NIT/IIIT/GFTI accepting JEE Main score in which you may have chances of getting seat

  • Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Barshi: Mechanical
  • Global Nature Care Sangathan's Group of Institutions, Jabalpur: CSE
  • Gyan Ganga College of Technology, Jabalpur: ECE
