I scored 420 in neet 2025 Obc category belonging to Gujarat Is mbbs in government or semi government possible?

Mansi Satwani 12th Jun, 2025

Hello there,

with a score of 420 in neet ug 2025, it is unlikely to get in government medical college in Gujarat. As the cutoff of these colleges is very high ranging from 600 to 650 even for OBC category. Some private colleges might have lower cutoff, so you can try there. Also you can explore other courses like dental, ayurveda and homeopathy.

Regards.

How much is the minimum marks to get free seat in mbbs college

SHUBHANGI SINHA 6th Aug, 2025

Hello,

In India, getting a free seat in the MBBS program basically entails getting accepted into a Government Medical College. Although these seats are not completely free, the government greatly subsidizes the tuition, which makes them quite reasonable when compare to private universities. It may only cost a few thousand rupees a year. But getting one of these sought - after seats is extremely difficult and necessities very high National eligibility CUM Entrance Test score.

A score of 650 or higher out of 720 is typically regarded as safe to obtain a place through the all India quota for a candidate in the general category according to current admissions trends. The cutoff for a state quota seats maybe somewhat lower, but in the majority of a states, it typically stays above 620-630. However,  their cutoff will be low for reserved categories.

I got 216 marks in neet 2025 from sc category can I get mbbs seat

kumardurgesh1802 25th May, 2025

Hello there,

With 216 marks in NEET 2025 under the SC category, getting an MBBS seat in a government medical college is highly unlikely. Most government colleges have higher cutoffs, even under reserved categories.

However, you may have limited chances in:

  • Private medical colleges under management quota or SC reservation.

  • Deemed universities with high fees.

  • Other states where cutoffs are comparatively lower, if you are open to shifting.

You can also consider alternate courses like BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc. Nursing, or other allied health sciences, where cutoffs are generally lower.

Participate in state and All India counseling rounds. Keep documents ready and regularly check for updates. Spot round or mop-up round might offer last opportunities, depending on seat availability and cut-off drops.

I would recommend you to use the NEET College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

I am scoring 231 marks in neet 2025 and I am from sc category can I get gmc or semi government mbbs

Rohan 24th May, 2025
  • With a NEET 2025 score of 231 and being from the SC category , getting an MBBS seat in a government or semi-government medical college is highly unlikely.
  • As SC cut-offs usually range between 480–520 marks.
  • However, you can explore options like BDS , BAMS , BHMS , B.Sc. Nursing , or paramedical courses . MBBS abroad (in NMC-approved colleges) is also an option if you're open to it.
