Sowmya Konkala 27th Feb, 2021

hello aspirant,

As of now its tough to say the cutoffs because the cutoffs change every year with college due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, diffculty level of paper, etc factors but based on previous year analysis we can provide a glimpse of what the cutoffs could be.you did not mention your category previous year it was 496.but based year the cutoff rose by 40 marks causing a difference in ranks by thousands.so to fetch seat in government colleges in gen cat you need good score like 550-600+ .setting a high target is important n achieve it beacuse you can fetch seat in your desired college without any worries. get the full list ofcutoffs of colleges in maharastra refer to: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-maharashtra

hope this helps,

can homeopathy be a good alternative if I dont get a mbbs seat..??

suchayitaanusaha 27th Jan, 2021

Hello,

Homeopathy is another medical career. It's good. You can become a doctor but as a homeopathy doctor. After completing this you can be go for higher study or research. You can be join hospital or nursing home. Infact you can open your own clinic. Actually it's same as MBBS doctor only you are a homeopathy doctor. So it's a good alternative if you become a doctor only.

All the best.

Im think I wont perform well in neet and would not get MBBS seat but I want to pursue BDS is that a good option?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 10th Jan, 2021
Hi

Mbbs is the best option available to bio group student and after MBBS ,BDS is one of the most sought options and of course  it is a good course

But the question is when you aspire for MBBS seat and start your Neet preparation thinking of pursuing MBBS will you be happy  with BDS seat? :( Will you be satisfied with yourself.

I am sure  you won't, at least I wouldn't have been if I were at your place,  then what should you do??

The  answer is simple dear getting an mbbs seat or not is a different thing but how can change your goal from MBBS to bds without even trying ,  and trust me if you give your 100% and study with concentration then you can definitely make it to a government medical college for MBBS. The decision is yours take some time and think.

Still just to answer your question , bds is good , after bds you become a dentist and you can open your  own dental clinic, or can even practice in hospitals . The starting salary can be 15000  -  25000 rupees and once you establish yourself you can think of 40000  -   100000 per month. You can even go for specialisation in the field  of dentistry by doing mds. You can even go for masters in clinical research, public health etc. So, overall BDS is good, you can go for it.

If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you

Thank you

I have scored 334 marks in neet 2020 with rank about 2 lakh .Can I get a mbbs seat through mop up round counselling on vacant seat?my category is obc

daniasufian2000 6th Jan, 2021
Hello student!
Amway sorry to mention that with the above marks just with 334 you don't have any chance of getting and MBBS seat through any round of counselling even in the mop up round. you have not mention your state as well but for getting seat in any of the college across the India you need to at least close a score of 440 plus this year.
Since the cutoff for this year has been a tremendous height it you don't have any chances for getting a seat in any of the mbbs colleges in mop up round. You can try in any of the ayush courses with such marks.
Hope this helps you!
Regards!

category Muslim hydrabaadha karnatak minimum how many marks required get government mbbs seat

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 2nd Jan, 2021

Hello

There are a three types of seats you can get in Karnataka ( namely Government ,Private , Private (open to all) ). To get a seat in the first type you need a rank around 2000 to 90000 depending on the type of institute. For the second type a rank around 110000 is sufficient. for the third type a rank around 120000 is ufiicient (all india rank).

If you get a score within the range 550 to 600 you can easily get a mbbs seat in government quota. Try to get more than 550 for the best institutes.

how much score required to get a mbbs seat in rgkar medical college for sc candidate?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 10th Feb, 2021

Hi

It is very difficult to predict marks required to get a seat in R.G. KAR MEDICAL COLLEGE, KOLKATA, but when we go through previous year trends then,

In neet 2019 , 462 marks for sc category was the cut off marks that got a  seat in R.G. KAR MEDICAL COLLEGE, KOLKATA  under West Bengal state quota

You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-west-bengal

But yes,
cut  off   marks / rank   for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the neet examination, kind of marks obtained by them in neet , toughness level of the neet examination, number of seats available etc.

So ,  you should target at least around 525 marks  to be on the safer side in your neet 2021 examination .

Now , limited time is left for your neet 2021 examination, so focus on preparation, go through the chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test papers once you are done with complete syllabus.

Thankyou
