during neet application i filled SC category but i failed to produce certificate can i change my category to general during state counselling

vermajismya 23rd Nov, 2021
Dear student

This time there was 2 phase of neet
First phase fill before the exam and second fill after the exam and before the results
In second phase you can change the email address and category ,they have given you enough time for this!!
Sorry to tell you that now you can't change the category , you can asked to nta  about this problem may it they will help you , you can mail nta on this account ;
[email protected]

Don't worry so much Take a deep breath and go to counselling ,well till this time try to get a category certificate on the urgent basis , category certificate take only 1-2 week  to make
I think you will treat as a general if you don't have category certificate but you have already given the SC category it may create problem so it's better to ask from nta or you should try to get category certificate as soon as possible !!

Feel free to ask more

Best of luck

Thanks for asking query

sir/ madam. I had applied neet application, in that I had applied wrong cast of mine. results are also came and I had went to clg admission, they mentioned ur cast is wrong. So can I change my cast in neet application now??.....

Pragya sarwaiya 24th Dec, 2021

Hi

Since you have already submitted your application and result has been declared having the caste you provided, ship has already been sailed. Exam authorities can not make any change for you now.

This is the only reason, they provide form correction dates to students for a longer period so that their mistakes can be rectified.

Now you can't go to authorities for any kind of change, you can visit college's administrative office for support, in case they can help you out. Moreover they are also not obliged to change your application form because your caste can make a huge difference in your result.

Best of luck

I got 119 in neet 2021. I did school studies in a foreign country.i mentioned in neet application my category as general. but I am BC category in tamilnadu. I want to study abroad. am I qualified based on the bc category?

Aashiketa 2nd Nov, 2021

Hi, the category won't matter when it comes to studying abroad. You might get relaxation in fees with the help of scholarship. NEET cut-off for studying Abroad this year 2021 was 120-130 for OBC category. For general category is was 135-145. It is advised that you contact a legitimate counselor for your admission procedure. Hope this helps.
