My Fathers Name in class 10th marksheet and aadhar card is SANJAY KUMAR but in caste certificate its only SANJAY will it cause any problem in neet counselling verification?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 14th Jul, 2021

See in general its not a severe discrepancy of information which can lead to cancellation or any severe cases against you. Although its better to have all the things neat. You are preparing for NEET and if you get a seat in medical college then why will you want to take any chance which can harase you in the time of admission. Its better to keep no probability.

Now you can do one thing that you can get a attested copy of the document from any gazetted officer (better for you if you do it from DM or SDO) or you can apply for rectification, the procedure of which you can get from the DM or SDO office.

I hope this helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

If a person fill ST category in Neet UG application form and he/she want to change his/her category from ST to general during counseling then he/she can change it??? Or if he /she cant provide a valid document for claiming ST category during counseling then what happen???

Pragya sarwaiya 16th Jul, 2021

No, candidate can not change his/her category at the time of counseling

If you wish to change your category from ST to UR category, you have to do this at the time of registration. Once you have locked your application form, it can not be changed

Candidates are given one chance to correct their application form(date will be announced soon), after that, no change is allowed.

From past few years, caste validity certificate is compulsory for NEET aspirants, it is not required for registration but at the time of counseling.

You can check your caste validity certificate online

Best of luck

Is the contact number for NTA - NEET UG related queries, given at their site, valid? If not is there any other option available to contact them apart from the given contact and mail id cause they did not reply to my calls or texts!

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 28th Feb, 2021
Hello,

Well to be honest, that is the only way you can get in touch with NTA either through mail or calling on the official number. They generally don't respond call and text due to huge amount of queries. I would suggest you to keep trying hopefully they will receive the call or if you have any queries then you can ask here we will try to help you as best as possible.

I hope this helps.

Although Ive completed my graduation this year and I am looking forward to neet 2022, and my eligible code for NEET form would be 02 as said by an expert here, will I face any problem even if I clear NEET and sit for mbbs counselling? Does the codes matter in counselling after clearance of exam?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Feb, 2021

Hi

Let's DEAL with your first question " Will there be any problem in counselling "?

No, there will be no problem even if you have completed graduation , you are still eligible for appearing in NEET examination and so you won't face any problem in counselling.

This is because

There is no rule which says that if you have completed graduation you become ineligible for Neet examination, as to be eligible for neet what all one needs is :

* to must have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this requirement  as per your category then you are definitely eligible for Neet Letxamination ,even if you have completed graduation  and after qualifying Neet examination you can get admission in medical colleges for MBBS etc on the basis of rank or marks obtained by you in NEET

Also,

there is no upper age limit for Neet examination

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page forl which link is provided below; -

Coming to which code you should select  :-

You should choose code 2.

This is because,

Though you have completed graduation, but  your highest qualification with physics chemistry and Biology remains 10 + 2 so you should choose code 2 as :-

it is for all those who have already passed 12th with physics chemistry and Biology and meet neet eligibility criteria i. e at least 50 % in pcb for general or 40 % in pcb for obc/sc/st

Coming to your 2nd question " Does the code matter during counselling "?

No, qualification code won't affect your counselling, there is qualification code  just to know  qualifications of the applicants like whether the student is 12th appearing or has already passed it before etc.

Neither your neet admit card mentions your qualification codes, nor it has any role in counselling. You will need the following documents for Document Verification :

*your NEET Admit card

*your  NEET  Rank Letter /score card

* provisional Allotment Letter

*your Class 10th mark sheet and certificate

* your class 12th certificate and mark sheet

*your 8 passport size photographs

* your photo id proof ,like aadhar card or pan card or passport  or driving license

* your caste certificate ,only if it is  applicable

*pwd certificate ,only if it is  applicable

I am 21 years old and I graduated this year with subjects of Physiology, zoology and botany. Also, I completed my 12th with physics, chemistry, biology and English. Am I eligible to sit for Neet? And which code should I use to fillup the form?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Feb, 2021

Hi

Yes , you are eligible for appearing in NEET 2021 examination.

This is because,

There is no rule which says that if you have completed bsc or any graduation you become ineligible for Neet examination, as to be eligible for neet what all one needs is :

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category
