i completed my 2nd pu 2021 , ive lack in chemistry especially in organic chemistry , do i fit for B pharmacy and M pharmacy ?
Hey Varshini,
If we come across the subjects in B.Pharmacy, there is a lot more chemistry especially organic chemistry. There are 3 parts of organic chemistry taught in three semesters. Apart from it, medicinal chemistry is also of 2-3 parts which wholly includes structures, reactions and stuff related to organic chemistry. Also, there is inorganic chemistry. If we see B.Pharmacy, the subjects are mostly oriented towards chemistry subjects and involves lab work and industrial work too. If you can improve your chemistry segment, then you can go and opt out for B.Pharmacy. If you are not interested in this subject, it will be better not to opt for B.Pharmacy as the subjects are mostly chemistry oriented, be it, physical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, quality assurance or other subjects. If we come upon M.Pharma, there are a lot more specializations offered, but the basic chemistry methods are almost applicable to all Pharmacy subjects.

How Do I start with Organic Chemistry? What book should I refer?Im really weak with the Basics and interested to master it in limited time.
hi,
see if you are weak in basic then it would take a longer time to grasp the full syllabus. organic chemistry is the most hard parts of 12th chemistry and it needs a lot of revision and practice to master the mechanism of the reaction. however you need one good tutor who would high light the main topics of each of the syllabus. for cbse students ncert books is highly recommended. apart from this you may look for Reactions, Rearrangements and Reagents by S.N. Sanyal, Solomons’ Organic Chemistry or himanshu pandey.
i just entered class 11 ... can i directly start with organic chemistry ?
hi,
see chemistry part of 11th standard has three domains.
1. physical chemistry
2. organic chemistry
3. inorganic chemistry
you will find some of familiarity with physics in physical chemistry. you can start chemistry lessons from organic chemistry as well. since organic chemistry portions is considered tougher , you have study sincerely and have to provide ample amount of time taking notes and short notes. ncert books are best text books to start with.
hope you understand.
What is the correct order to study ORGANIC CHEMISTRY for JEE Mains and Advanced. Give a detailed list please?
Hi Aspirant,
Organic chemistry is a quite important chapter in JEE Mains or advanced. You can sum up all the important equations in one copy and take notes of the important chemical equations. You can also stress upon the aldehyde and ketonal equation and should stress on theconversion part more.
Hope it helps!!
way to find homologues series in organic chemistry
Hi,
Homologous series is basically a group of carbon containing compounds that usually differ only in number of carbon atoms in the chain and follow a similar structure. They can also be defined by a general formula for eg: For alkanes it is C n H 2n + 2 .They have similar chemical properties. show a gradual change in their physical properties as the number of carbon atoms in the molecules increases.
I hope this helped you.
How can i learn class 12 organic chemistry reaction plz suggest me for boards 2021
There are two ways you can learn reactions. One is via understanding the basic concepts and applying them as per the conditions in the reaction. The second is learning them by heart. If you couldn't understand chemistry, as many students face difficulty in reactions and conversions, you can learn them as to how the product is formed from the reactants given. Just jot down the reactions or reaction skeleton and revise them every day from now. You can either make paper slips or small notes and keep them in your pocket always. Try memorising a number of reactions everyday and revise every day too
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
This is compulsory tochoose ignornic, organic branch in B. SC in chemistry
Hey There!
Bsc chemistry is a 3 years undergraduate course and course curriculum delas with various aspects of chemistry including chemical reactions, compositions and processes. The core subjects of Bsc chemistry (compulsory subjects) are : organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. You do not need to choose between the core subjects as these are mandatory subjects but you need to choose btween the elective courses. Some of the most popular and impurtant elective subjects are:
- Application of Computer in Chemistry
- Analytical methods in Chemistry
- Molecular Modelling and Drug Design
- Novel Inorganic Solids
- Inorganic Materials of Industrial Importance
- Industrial Chemicals and Environment
- Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis
- Polymer Chemistry
- Research Methodology for Chemistry
You can choose the lective courses as per your interest or depending on the courses available in your college.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou!

if we leave organic chemistry for wbjee then how many questions can we get in chemistry wbjee 2021
hello,
The subject wise total number of question in WBJEE is
- Physics - 40 questions
- Chemistry - 40 questions
- Mathematics - 75 questions
In chemistry 30 Questions is asked in Category 1and 5 Questions each in Category 2 and 3. In category 1 each correct answer will be awarded one mark and in category 2 for every correct response, two marks will be given by the candidates. The total marks allotted in Chemistry is 50. In WBJEE organic chemistry chapter has 6% weightage. So, apart from organic chemistry you can get around 32-35 questions from other chapters.

is ncert enough for organic chemistry for jee
Ncert is very much important for organic chemistry of jee mains but may not be completely enough. You should read the complete ncert first but after that you must try to look at various other books also, as ncert lacks in much information. Go for arihant books or something like that. You can also take up study materials specially made for jee nains by allen, aakash or fiitjee, etc. To score good in organic chemistry and study all the topics that might be important for jee mains.
