Sanjanaleekha 25th Oct, 2020

Hi,

You can surely become a good doctor even if you study from a private or semi private university, this is purely a professional course where your self motivation and skills matter, the tag of a government college cannot be a guarantee of you becoming a good doctor, put your best efforts and you will surely be able to crack NEET PG as well.

My score in neet ug 2020 is 529 and iam from Andhra Pradesh. What are my chances of getting seat in Private medical college in any state in All India Quota and i belong to open category. And please suggest me some private medical colleges where i can get in with my score in AIQ.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Oct, 2020

Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota.

Compared to 2019, the NEET 2020 cut offs have changed considerably higher than expected. With the top score being 720 which is 19 marks greater than 2019's top score, it is difficult to predict chances. But based on the analysis of the experts, on the and going by previous years data, with this score a few Colleges that you may have a shot at, you have a chance in:

  • Narayana Medical College
  • Santiram Medical College
  • Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Murukambattu

Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer .
